Need Prayers for Mike Webb

He will have a lot of work ahead of him but can't really compare his to mine as they also repaired a aneurysm
in the root of the valve and put in the cow valve which added to the length of the surgery. It went from est. 2-4hrs
and ended up being 71/2 on the table. It knocked me for a loop. It will be a good 6 months -1 year to fully recover.
Mine was 7/14/2021 and today i am pretty good, family Dr. every 6 months and Cardiologist every 6 months blood work
1-2 times a year.
Mike, listen and do everything they want and you will get through this. Wish you the best!

That’s a lot of time in surgery and under anesthesia.

Were your taste buds affected?

I was under for about five hours and at six weeks my taste buds have finally come around.. For about a month eating was a challenge and even chocolate did not taste good .,, That made weight retention very difficult for me…

Just heard from Mike's sister, he had the procedure yesterday and is doing well!
this is just the kind of good news I needed to read today.

Mike if you read when you are up to it I will stop by for a visit and we can compare heart stories.

One of these days we’ll all get a big surprise when Mike joins the conversation…

It will probably be in the Ask The Cuemaker section. LOL!!!

He’ll be giving free advice about this or that because that is the kind of guy he is. He shares with everyone and asks nothing in return. That is Mike Webb!!

Can’t Wait!

Yes, about 2 months

Thank you
By everything logical, I should be gone.
The fluid in my lungs was ridiculous, A1-c of sugar at 600.
Still can't believe I was smart enough to go to the Hospital.
New valve on the heart. Having your chest cracked open is no joke.
Now to heal.
As you get time to read through this you’ll find some great support. March 10, I had double bypass. Stopped my heart, deflated my lungs.

We’re all different and at the same time quite unique.

Take what your body says you can do as a general guideline and be patient…

God speed to your recovery Mike Webb!

Great news, Mike. My dad had a mitral valve replacement with a mechanical valve. The valve was still working 25 years later when he passed at 95 years old. What I learned over the years watching him, is to not skip scheduled blood tests, don't make any drastic changes to your diet, because it affects blood thickness, (watch those green leafy vegs, which thicken the blood) and develop a good working relationship with your cardiologist. My dad's dr. became like a family member to us. I'm still in touch with him -- 5 years after my dad's passing.

Best of luck to you for a speedy recovery!
