Need Prayers for Mike Webb

Any word on how surgery went for Mike today?

You'll do fine, and I think you will actually enjoy it, since you are into physical fitness anyway. I had my 21st rehab session today. Three more and I should graduate. Of course I'll keep up exercising on my own, and I'm looking forward to getting back into my regular workout routine, at home.
Thanks for the upbeat note. Unfortunately for me I got a femoral hernia from all the hacking and coughing while in the heart unit following the bypass.

So once I get out of the cardiac rehab and get ‘healthy’ again, I am scheduled for the hernia surgery on June 13th. Then it’s one more month of recover followed by more therapy and another battle to get back in shape after that!
My life is not my own anymore.. It’s all getting old…..

I'm sorry for your troubles. I hope you have some better days ahead.

Best wishes, prayers and hope only go so far in Mike’s hopefully quick recovery. What helps fill in the gaps is being
less worried or concerned about the medical costs for saving his life. The reality is everything has its price and today,
hospital bills can become a financial nightmare to cope with. So on a more pecuniary note, let’s see what can still be achieved with fund raising to help the Webb family cope with what could turn into insurmountable hospital expenses.

Yes, I am still beating the drum about trying to raise as much as possible because the worry and financial hardship of enormous medical expenses can easily impact someone’s long term recovery and future welfare. So if you can peel off a sawbuck or really anything you can afford, please think about contributing to Mike’s GoFundMe Campaign. Hopefully, his health challenges are in his rear view mirror but the road still yet to be traveled can use some car fare assistance.

Thanks for caring and contributing. I’d try doing the same for you if the situation ever arose. We are a community and
everyone doesn’t have to care or contribute $ to Mike’s dilemma, just enough of us have to. I just hope you’ll join us.

He has already been up walking, eating, etc. Sounds like a very successful outcome.
Yep, good news. This is pretty much SOP for this type of surgery. The nurses/physical therapists make you get out of bed and walk around the hospital ward on a regular basis. They won't let you lie around, and sleep all day. They'll start pulling tubes and wires out of him, too. It doesn't hurt, but it is a bit interesting. Typically, if there aren't any complications, the patient goes home about 4-7 days after the surgery.

Wonderful news! Nothing better than that to end my day on. He had a lot of support from members here due to the respect he has garnered over the years. Combined with his family that love him he is on his way to health and wellness better than before!!

He’s blessed with another chance at life!

I know that the operation was Stage 1 in Mike's recovery, and the next week--until he leaves the hospital--is Stage 2, so I'm still really pulling for Mike, and I'm still really concerned for his well being. I'll be thinking about him all week.

Believe, just reading posts on this thread, all in AZbilliards community are doing the same as you 7stud.

Also believe all in this community are a great support system for Mike in his time of need. It is amazing to see so many people really care about and want the best for Mike.

Respect too you all.

Good to hear that better days and fairer winds have found themselves Mike's way. Take care, and we look forward to hearing from you when you are up to it.

Oh yeah. I am six weeks out from CABG double bypass. Just started cardiac rehab therapy which could be a total of 36 sessions.

I believe Mike has a ways to go but the members here that have had valve replacement will know more than me what his next steps may be. And a better how long his recovery might take.
It ain’t small potatoes and I wish him a speedy healthy recovery.
