I'll ask for some leeway with the omission of some details, but...

Guy came up to me in the billiards room and asked if I was me. Absent the obvious and given he asked by name, I confirmed and he informed he played with my olde TS sneaky the night before...and had a damnpic.

He said there was no way is was for sale, but everything's got a price, right?

Straight outta the chicken coop. Original shafts had black collars.

Chuckles, here on the site, had something similar happen. He is pretty well known in the local pool scene and he had a player approach him with his first McDermott cue. I don't remember exactly where the guy told him he bought it from, but it had Chuck's name still engraved on the butt cap.

I think he sold the cue to Chuck for just what he paid for it. (< $200 )

I never liked the idea of having my name on the butt cap of a cue, but I do have to admit that having the chance to own your first cue again would be worth it.

This cue stopped being mine when I went broke in the pool room one night and gave it to the guy behind the counter for $100 loan.

I came back 2 days later with $100 to get my stick back and he informed me he had sold it.

Ow.
