The wood is from a vintage cue. I don’t know what species it is. The grain looks kid of like mahogany and it is light,

Here is one I built a decade ago or so that I just converted the shaft to my hybrid design for a friend who needs a player. It's a black palm forearm and butt with a birds eye handle and brass with cocobolo ring work. the joint collar and butt cap are black resin phenolic. It's got a brass 3/8-10 joint pin. wood-wood.
