I think it had something to do with a forfeit at the Expo Pro tournament and they wanted to make it up to him.
obviously they want him there as they let him enter. so if you enter tough luck.
and that's how he is, so a player better get used to it. and so should a ref or don't take the job. unless you can punish him some way for his behavior.
and a ref should not be moving around in your view while shooting. but hey its pool and things aren't perfect and if you are a pro you have to realize that. and if it bothers you, you probably are not going to be a true pro.

Exactly.. that being said I always blame myself when it happens because after 30 years of playing I know I should stand up and reset.
Absolutely not the same .. this is referee standing right by your table. He should know better as a referee to stand still when a player is down on the ball and from it was said this guy did it multiple times in different matches.

no, you're not supposed to get used to the opponent talking and flailing when your shooting. he can babble all he wants when HE is at the table.
Dreadful stroke. With fundamentals like that, it's just a matter of time before you miss. Maybe he has a legitimate complaint against the person moving, but if his fundamentals were solid, he probably wouldn't have missed.

He does seem able to miss at any time. Exciting for a backer.

I'm confused. Wasn't the Expo an Allen Hopkins event? Why would Matchroom be responsible for a forfeit there?
It was a WNT event (the expo 9b). I don’t know what the issue was, or who’s fault it was.

All the people talking about his stoke, how he misses all the time, etc. He is still a 713 fargo, most of us aren't, so while his talking game may not be appreciated, the cat can play.
Yeah Fargo doesn’t matter much.. what’s he playing on at home? Is that a lot of barbox? Is it big pockets? Fargo doesn’t take a lot of things into effect and it’s why I give it very little thought to how a player plays. There are players with higher Fargo then me but all they play is 8 ball and I steam roll them playing rotation but their rotation Fargo isn’t the same lol . That stroke you saw is not going to win you much under that pressure with 4 inch pockets. That’s just fact. Fundamentals matter..especially under that pressure and those tables. Again I’m not shitting on Kenny. Props to him for putting it out there and I think he cashed but you’re only going so far with a stroke like that.
Something strange about strokes that appear to have hardly any back swing. Always wondered how Hopkins got juice on the ball but obviously he did.
And here I always thought that Fargo was scored on how well you played against opponents instead of a rating that measured your skill on equipment. Doesn't it make sense if you play on easier equipment that your opponent is playing on the same easy equipment?
Funny…..considering he was walking around a table adjacent to the women’s open matches at the SBE this year running his mouth loudly while practicing and damn near bumping into the ladies several times who were playing their semifinal match.
Well, sure, but some people play better on certain equipment and/or playing different games.
Even with 700 level players this can be the case. There is a guy in my area who plays that speed and plays a real power game - fires them in and runs racks. But his CB control can be a little off at times for a player that highly rated. He’s consistently better on looser tables - compared to other 700 level players who might have better CB control but less firepower.
