    Another Farorate thread

All depends on how many breaks you get there. If you get 30 or more breaks and run 25% or more of them, that would be significant. But if you go 2 and out and get only 8 breaks (I don’t know how long the races will be, guessing 7 here) and run 2 of them, that’s not enough to say you average 25%...

Eh, I dunno about that… they probably shouldn’t be on the cute waitress.

Shane Van Boening draw stroke: wrist movement analyzed frame-by-frame

I watched him closely live at the Texas Classic 3 weeks ago, and he was as freewheeling and wristy as ever, especially when warming up pre-match. His power draw and follow strokes are really something. The only change I’ve noticed between 12 years ago and now is that he plays with that 9-10”...

    Double Hit Nip Draw Debate

Sure. But it’s impossible for the CB to be rolling forwards from such a close distance from the OB.

Shane Van Boening draw stroke: wrist movement analyzed frame-by-frame

Sorry to resurrect this thread I started in 2012, but I’ve always been fascinated with SVB’s wristy power stroke, and also interested in CJ Wiley’s description of his own wrist mechanics and his “hammer” move. While CJ’s descriptions never seemed to match up with what Shane is doing, I found a...

I picked up some hardware in Vegas!

Did you see his bare ankles? Surprised Fedor didn’t call a ref over about that dress code violation.

In '24 Derby City videos I was stunned by how many top players all did something I can't possibly learn to do.....

True, but the OP mentioned seeing this on videos. I remain skeptical - many players look at the CB first thing when placing the bridge hand and getting down, and it’s rare to see that stage of the process on video. I can’t imagine a high level player never taking at least a quick direct look...

That’s hard to believe. Got a link to a video and timestamp?

    SIMONIS FUZZ

Yes, using a utility blade was far faster than using the fabric shaver and did a more thorough job.

    SIMONIS FUZZ

No, I’m trying to get the most use out of the fuzzy cloth that I can. Table looks and plays fine now.

    SIMONIS FUZZ

Finished shaving my table. Went through about 20 utility knife blades and took around two hours total. Here’s a short video showing the best method I found: What it looks like when you’re doing it:

I dunno. To me it sounded like she refused shaking or knuckle bumping or whatever. Which doesn’t surprise me based on the influence of her parents.

    What a tool!!!

Nobody is calling every shot in a 10-ball tournament like this. If it's an obvious shot as probably 95% of them are (there's a definition for "obvious"), you don't have to say anything.

    Funny pic/gif thread...

Damn that thing is fast! But seriously, why did you keep running over the stick on the approach?
  18. DeadStick

    What a tool!!!

You only need to call non-obvious shots (and the 10-ball) in 10-ball. But combo's are specifically called out in the rules as being non-obvious, along with kicks, banks, caroms, and jumps.

"caught" on camera, lol... they were operating the camera, and aimed it to record his face at the end for posterity. And then were fine with it going on their daughter's channel with no trimming at the end.

"I hope your tip falls off." (It was said to Hoang.) Here's the full transcript from the end of the match, as Hoang walks towards Savannah with a smile to shake/fist bump: Savannah: "Sorry, I only shake hands [indecipherable]..." Man 1: "That's ok. You don't have to shake hands. I hope you...
