9-Ball Luck 8-ball not so much

8 on the Break! The 8 on the break being 1% cannot be accurate. I know some people hardly ever sink it, but I would sink it closer to 10%. Tonight for example I got it 3 times in a row. It's more to do with where you hit. 8 and 9 ball both have there own pressure. Straight pool is A LOT...

    8 ball break-help

What about the second ball??? As you have all agreed, everyone will give a bad rack if they know how to pass it off as a good one!!! This is why I hit the second ball from the top square, with a stop shot. I get a ball in 80%+ of the time and go from there. I will admit the split is not as...

    Need Info on Kaiser Cues..

Fantastic Cue for the Price.... I know a lot of people who buy them as a first time cue and they shoot far better than any players cue etc. I like to think of them as a fake southwest :D

    one rail banking

Yep... It's true - I do it all the time. Although I change the amount of english so as to have control over the speed of the cue ball

    World Rankings, does anybody care?

Well... Well Earl Strickland being 80th seems about right... Where do you see these rankings becasue I would figure that very little guys from the US would be near the top as of late. - Also I'm not trying to deliberately bag the US players, just the Germans, Taiwanese and Phillipenne guys...

    Predator 314 or Original Shaft?

You just said yourself why you dont need a 314/Z Shaft!!! Since when did anyone ever need to hit the ball that hard that the throw was that bad  At the end of the day I believe that by not using a Predator shaft you are teaching yourself better habits - ie not being lazy and getting back...

    I won - but I feel like a lost?

I just spent the past few hours playing a couple of guys in 8 ball. Races to 4 and $20 for each set. I ended up 5 sets in the end. The strange thing is - I feel worse than any other match I have lost, even when I have lost a few hundred dollars in the past??!? :( I don't know if it is...

    Extension for Cue

does anyone know anywhere that I can buy an extension for a Predator 4k7? Like the snooker cue extensions that fit on the back of the cue.

anyone heard of kaiser cues ?

Kaiser These are usually wood joint cues. For a cheap cue they do have a nice solid hit to them. I just didn't like the standard taper of them, but for breaking it would be better considering it feels a little bit like a tree trunk..

More on CBX CBX You can play around with this a bit... it you play on the letters you can talk about as previously mentioned Charlie Bryant's X-Breaker. Also can reverse it and talk about the Xtreme Ball Control of the cue. For a logo you could have CBXBC, where the BC at the end shadows off...

    314 shaft question

Differences are as follows: * Joint collars are now solid and more durable. * New ferrule on 314-2 is a titan ferrule and is stronger. * Shaft comes standard with an Everest laminated tip. * Ferrule is bored differently reducing deflection and is stronger. * Deflection is 5%...

    Both Ways Just as Good?

Stop it!!! I agree with the stop, but it depends what you are more comfortable with I guess. By playing the stop shot, there is a natural center ball angle to the 9 as well. If you follow you could leave the cueball short and have to go 2/3 rails or worse, leave the cueball straight in for...

    From Predator to Maple Shaft

Yeah I think people don't grasp the consistency with the 314. It seems to limit your sense of cue ball pace. Just look at all these guys from the Phillipenes and Taiwan etc.. ps. Crown City Cory - I used to use a X shaft :p I find it sits somewhere in between a maple shaft and a 314...

    From Predator to Maple Shaft

Yeah the majority of shots I hit better with the maple shaft, it's just the cuts and a lot of spin down the table. I would argue in fact that my position is more precise after just a couple of shots.

    From Predator to Maple Shaft

I'm looking at doing the reverse swap - back to a Maple shaft after using Predator for a while. Has anyone does this with out too many problems? I have tried a Southwest and love solid hit and the feedback from the joint, but if I try and use English it just doesn't work  If anyone has...
