    Denver and Colorado Springs

Antiques in Colorado Springs is the only pool room of merit in the Springs. It has been very slow there lately and may not be much "action" if that is your thing. If you give me a heads up I would come down and play some. Patty Jewett public golf course is something like the 2nd oldest golf...

Why Southwest if with a different shaft?

I happen to collect and love SW cues. The construction is great, I happen to like the butt taper....etc... The main reason I have them is because they hold their value and have actually increased over the years. However, for me, I simply do not like the SW shaft taper and use another...

RANT: The squeaky wheel gets the grease; The loudmouth gets the cash...

I agree with below. I certainly enjoy gambling (and will bet a healthy amount) but will under no circumstance play someone who is loud, drunk, disrespectful, etc....even if I know it's a lock. The gambler mentioned in the op's post would get NO ACTION from me. And that would go for most...

How would you rate my speed based on this video?

Without even looking at the video, I would probably rate Jay's game b- to b. But that was a few years ago, and to be honest, we only played a few times. I will say that if he ran over 122 then he would definitely have to be in the b range at the very least. A long run like that does not...

Places to play near Pueblo, Colorado

There are some decent players down in Pueblo. I'm in the Springs, but never bother to go down so can't remember the name of the main room, but should be easy to find in phone book. There are several that will gamble down there. If you make it up to the Springs I can give you some action at...

    Who is the maker?

if it's a Keith it will have a circle K on the rubber stopper. Also, he engraves a serial number on the pin, ( or at least used to).

    Best at Patterns

Having watched many 14.1 video's, I would have to say Dallas West. A real surgeon when picking apart the rack.

Tell a best experience dealing with a cuemaker

Laurie Franklin at SW is terrific to work with. Above and beyond in everything she does. I've also had great experiences with Tim Scruggs, Kenny Murrell, Alex Brick, Mike Wheeler, Brian Mordt. Cuemakers that I have found to be upfront, reliable and most importantly... honest.

    Colorado made cue I.D. Please

Definitely a Moore. I remember that very cue when I lived in Boulder. Nice pick up on craigslist. I toyed with driving up to Boulder from the Springs to buy it, but decided it wasn't worth the trip.

    Problems with Pierce cues

You have my name and address. I have saved all forms of communication with you. I have before photo's and I have people that saw the cue before you screwed it up.

    Problems with Pierce cues

I can do much better Jim, I have proof, the cue in question and the cuemaker that corrected your work. By the way, I had a nice conversation with Tom Coker about you.

    Problems with Pierce cues

LOL. :rotflmao1: I'm sure the 20 to 30 calls and 100 texts you made were very friendly and helpful. I'm sure they are very similar to the multiple messages that you left me Jim. Similar to the messages that got you banned from this site, maybe?? Those of us that have had bad dealing with...

    Problems with Pierce cues

JonTravisTaylor is one of the Jim Pierce cronies. As to the shaft screwing on loose, that is exactly how the shaft fit for the one Pierce made for me. I got the same treatment you did J-flo, complete with the nasty emails, etc.... Be sure to save the emails and communication from Pierce...

    Problems with Pierce cues

I'm sure the OP tried to handle this privately, but having gone through the same thing with Pierce, that is not possible. I know that there are many people, including myself, that want to hear about stuff like this so that we don't make the same mistake and conduct business with someone like...

Sloppy and incompetent work by Jim Pierce, poor customer service

A dished foream was the very least of my problems with Jim Pierce. The lastest, which came out when I tried to have all of Jim Pierces f-ups fixed was tape (as in masking tape) used to build up the wrap area. Also, the new ferrules which Jim supposedly installed, where put on top of the...
