If anyone sees this cue for sale in this forum please report back to me right away.

If anyone has the cue, or knows who has it, I promise i won't question wether it was a mistake someone made, or anything, and I could even come up with a compensation for it.
Whoever has it,do not worry I won't care about the circumstances I would just work it out with you and your name will never be brought up, I GIVE YOU MY WORD.

All I want is for the owner of this cue to get it back.

Let's test the power of this amazing forum,uh?

P.S I'm not a violent person, I don't lie and I do not own guns.

Thank you all for your help and understanding

Whomever might have this cue, now is your chance to redeem yourself in God's eyes and this very forgiving cue owner who has to be one on the kindest souls you'll ever meet. I say that with all the greatest respect because if it were my cue that was taken, and that's about the softest way I'll ever phrase it, I'd be absolutely bellicose & belligerent about what happened. I know that behavior would do very little toward getting my cue returned but I'd be looking to rip someone apart.......and truly......God help the MFckr if I ever got wind of whom took it and if I knew where the _rick lived, I'd fly cross country to recover my cue or else get revenge.

Marc.....you are a saint in my book and also a wise man because blowing empty threats in the air like it may have seemed like I was writing about, well, that isn't going to do much to help get your cue back. I have my fingers crossed that the creep who has your cue will take advantage of your all too kind offer and realize this is their chance to rectify a very bad act on their part. Best of luck on recovering your cue.....Bill's cues are great cues and looks like you had a dandy too.

Marc,

Rest assured I will be on the lookout for this Josswest in the Kansas City area, and wherever I travel.

You are a great person, as honest and straightforward as there is, and I hope someone who may know of the cue's whereabouts takes you up on your statement issued above.

This cue needs to be with its owner......immediately.

Marc,

Thanks for posting this, I will keep an eye out. Just making sure it stays near the top so others can see it.

Best of luck, hope it works out. I got lucky once, and did get mine back. I'd recommend putting flyers up in the Women's bathroom, the gals talk allot and may be helpful getting it back. You might also post pics in other clubs.

Post a sign offering a 500 reward at Felt.

See if you can claim the loss on any homeowners policy you have and ask Felt if they can submit it to their insurance.

Call police and fill report. See if there's surveillance video.

Sorry to hear about it, and if there's anything I can do let me know.
If I see it I will call you immediately

I will be at Felt tomorrow. I will keep an eye out.
But if this cue was stolen by someone who knew what it is it will be long gone from the area.
So the look outs in other states have a better chance of nabbing this cue.

I absolutely love that cue.

Lots of good advice given already.

I wish you the best.

Bumping this to the top. I'm your eyes in Omaha Nebraska. Hope it is returned to you safe and sound. Matt D.

What About Creating a New Section: Stolen Cue(s) Alert

I posted this notion on a different thread yesterday........how about AZ creating a brand new sub-forum and just add it to the other two already in the for sale listing category that has sub-forms for wanted & ebay auctions...............create a 3rd section for stolen pool cues.

Anyone that was interested in purchasing a pool cue could consult that section prior to actually buying the pool cue. If it's a suspicious cue, let the original owner know......notify the Forum Mods.......maybe they can link it to the local police. In any event, at the very least, the AZ pool buying community would be alerted about stolen pool cues which right now is done on a haphazard basis at best.

Imagine having your cue stolen just before some big cue show is being held and you posted about your stolen cue on the AZ new section. People could check before buying a cue.......at the show, they could have signs "Verify Before You Buy".....heck, you could promote this idea with Pawn Shops.....check before you take an item in for pawn.......we need a method for communicating about stolen cues and what better way than on AZ........simply start checking on AZ's new stolen cue section before you buy something. The harder it becomes to sell a stolen cue, the less appealing the idea becomes.......problem solving starts with attempting to do something.

Please indulge the ego-sounding nature of this post but I think this idea has some merit. There isn't any database that I know of anywhere. The AZ Forum is the largest community of pool enthusiasts that I know of.....if we can make it more difficult for thieves, isn't that a good thing? If we can help maybe even help recover some cues, isn't that a good thing? And if this helps the victim feel better because the AZ community is aware and alert to their stolen cue, isn't that worth doing just by itself? This could be the quickest method of communicating with the pool buying public about stolen cues and isn't that also a good thing?

If anyone has any pull with the Mods, Jerry Forsythe, House pro, etc,, if you concur this could be a good thing, please pass this along.......promote it with others......let's do something that discourages stealing pool cues and hopefully helps get some back at the same time.

I don't like it
Every situation is different, so I would prefer a new thread for the few stolen cues posted every year.
It's not like this happens all the time, and I would never read an ongoing stolen cue thread.
A cue like this stolen Josswest cue deserves it's own thread for the full attention of the board.

cuesblues.....there are a couple of stolen cue alerts right now on AZ.

People don't know where to look on AZ to check if a cue they were considering was possibly a stolen cue.

Sometimes the stolen cue alert is posted in the Main Forum, For Sale Section or Cue Gallery or even elsewhere.....case in point, there's a stolen cue alert right now in the CG and a different one in the MF.

I just think if there's a sub-forum within the For sale Section that already has two: Wanted & Ebay Auctions.......so just create a 3rd.......Stolen Cue Alerts.

If your pool cue is stolen, you start a thread where.....the CG? MF? FS?.......Heck no, you post your stolen cue information, pictures, etc. where it belongs....with all the other stolen cues that could be posted on AZ.......it's a starting point.....it makes it harder to quick sell a stolen cue if the prospective buyer pulls out their smart phone, gets on the AZ website and checks the new Stolen Cue Sub-Forum within the For Sale Section, it makes it a little harder to sell a cue.......gosh, I know I'd check if that opportunity presented itself to buy a cue......it's a simple double check step.

So instead of relying upon the hope that someone spots your stolen cue alert that could be posted anywhere on the Forum, it just makes more sense to centralize that information......at the very least......you can see how many cues are being taken......assuming people report the cue thefts and you get to browse all the cues easily.......if your stolen cue thread was posted in the FS, CG or MF sections and your thread isn't bumped, the thread gets buried pages deep going unnoticed.....that probably will never occur with thread if there was a stolen cue section.

Frankly, I just don't see why a new section for Stolen Cues wouldn't be a good thing. After all, people are going to post their threads anyway so why not at least organize them into their own section.....it will definitely be read and a lot more good will come from it than bad.......and of course every single stolen cue alert would have its own individual thread created by the cue owner.......in my opinion, this new section for stolen cue alerts would be a good thing.

I am more than willing to set this up, if the users think it will be helpful in any way. I would need someone to send me links to the recent stolen cue threads so that I can move them to the new area.
