Based on what I sold mine for about a year ago, and what my friend bought one for(looks just like yours, he paid about $600 w/ two shafts).... I'd say what you bought it for is market value in this market.
This is not a slam on the cuemaker, just a reflection of the current economy and how...
In case you don't know, there is a AZbilliard room that has two tables. You can sign up for $25 and play free there (assuming table is avail.) 24/7. And of course, meet other AZ'ers. You sign up in the Derby City Classic section of AZbilliards.
Are you driving or flying? Playing in any of the events? Staying the whole time? I'll probably not go, but I think you'll enjoy it. You get free entry as long as you play in one of the events.
Derek,
My words were perhaps alittle harsh about the Bit. However, it was/is probably the only pool hall I've ever been in where the "help" made you feel unwanted. As a "customer", I always wanted to be elsewhere. The table are OK, but the customer service is still at a D+ level. JMO
I think part of the problem was that the place was HUGE. It sort of lacked the intimacy that many people like in a gathering place. To much space to maintain. It closed several (many) years ago.
Hey, leave me out of this, you (Derek), Wayne, Nelson, Little John, my bud Barry, and a couple others I can't think of right now are all good players.
As for action, well, when ATM and I lived up there some change exchanged hands.
I used to hate the Diamonds, now that is pretty much the best table for me. Like Steve said, you need to be spot on if you are to continue to run balls. In particular, if the OB barely touches a rail, you're liable to miss. I remember playing on GC, where you could hit about a full diamond up...
I'm certainly listening. However, Jim has heard all of this and for whatever reason has no interest in making it better. I guess he must have other priorities.
This is a good point. I would take running 50's consistently over running 100 once in a blue moon. I say 50 because to me that represents a decent amount of rack transitions ( about 3).
Of course, with running 50 consistently, then naturally, you'll run higher numbers more often.
I like the idea, but I think you have to make the run at least over 100 on video.
I played today after my 113 last week and ran a misarable high of 32. I definately felt like taking a couple of Sascha's.... I could have netted a respectable 77.

Maybe you need to take your own advice. ;)
I never looked at it that way Marop, but that makes sense. I guess I was thinking in a game situation with total score....tunnel vision I guess.
Thanks.
What a class act. Strange table, coming in from the cold and runs a cool 160. What happened to getting a sense of the table speed and how the cushions react? Never mind the banter with the crowd. Amazing.
You're funny Ivan. I'm lucky I did this at around 4:00. As you know, any later and it turns into a circus in there. At which time, my high run would have been 10.
