I gave myself an early Christmas present today. Running 114 balls and scratching....for 112.

I'll take it. Nice way to end the year.

Happy Holidays.

Thanks Steve. Let's see, I made the last ball and scratched. So the ball was pocketed illegally and I owe one for the foul. So would'nt that be 112?

Anway, I'd been in a little slump lately and it felt good to put this together.

Great Run

Congrats on the great run. That is a lot to be proud of.
You do not count the ball that goes in when a scratch takes place. You were on 113 and then the scratch makes it 112. Unless you want to take a "Sascha" and count it as a 114..........

Thanks, that's what I figured. Which leads to something I never thought of before....wouldn't it suck to scratch on your 101st shot, if you had never run 100 before. You would effectively have a high run of 99. Ouch.

No "Sascha" for me.

The run is officially 113. The 114th ball didn't count and the one shot deduction for the scratch would have been taken off of your total score before the run started. So the inning is officially 113 which would be added to your previous total which would be minus one due to the scratch.

I never looked at it that way Marop, but that makes sense. I guess I was thinking in a game situation with total score....tunnel vision I guess.

Thanks.

Rain dem HONDOS ...

You're funny Ivan. I'm lucky I did this at around 4:00. As you know, any later and it turns into a circus in there. At which time, my high run would have been 10.

I'd bet even money on you to get to at least 17 in the circus-thuggery-clutter that is the after 6pm crowd ;)

Happy Holidays Pal, nice run, keep it up.

i miss the big lug.... :crying:

in his honor, we should all upload a fraudulent video in a "find the cheat" contest. the person who's cheat is so good as to be undetectable wins the coveted, Sascha Cup.

I like the idea, but I think you have to make the run at least over 100 on video.

I played today after my 113 last week and ran a misarable high of 32. I definately felt like taking a couple of Sascha's.... I could have netted a respectable 77.

this is why those players who consistently run high numbers garner such respect and why the game can be so frustrating.

I can't imagine how many "mulligans" I would have to take to create a number worthy of a Sascha Cup entry.

Then I would have to stop the video, look at it and try to match the stripe or number on the ball for the re-shoot. Probably better not to use a measle ball. Easier to replace.

I was a little reluctant on doing this....but what the hell !!!

If you use this set of balls you wont have to be so precise on how to line up the angle of the balls....No Stripes to worry about !!!

LOL !

This is a good point. I would take running 50's consistently over running 100 once in a blue moon. I say 50 because to me that represents a decent amount of rack transitions ( about 3).

Of course, with running 50 consistently, then naturally, you'll run higher numbers more often.

Ah, but that would be the beauty of the Sascha Cup....to be able to put up big numbers and also enhance your video editing skills!
