I would agree that keep the cue level during the stroke my be technically wrong as a statement....most people will understand the intent of that statement to mean keep the plane of the cue consistent during the,strokes.....A dipping, arching butt end or tip end prior to contact of the cb...

This may be counterproductive to the no elbow drop concept, but what I find is....If I focus more on just keeping the cue smooth and level on the takeaway and keeping the cue stick smooth and level on the follow through....(all while keeping the head still)... it does a couple things.. It seems...

Problem is...if the hamster was subject to watching the stroke I put on the ball...it would pull out it's field knife and cut itself away from my arm killing itself.

For me personally...the pause (at the CB) helps the "quiet eye" part.....It allows a specific point in my routine to allow my eyes to catch up and focus on my visualization of the shot before pulling the trigger....so I would call it physical.

It is interesting that people come along and say I want to learn the "pause".......Yet they don't know why they want to learn it. If they knew the reason...I would think it would make it much easier to incorporate it into the stroke. :smile: So far (in this thread) I have not seen much of...

Here is some non-instructor input. Your grip is too tight....Not so much on the set up...You appear to start with a relaxed grip...but it really looks like it gets tight when you apply the stroke...(It almost looks like you are trying to abruptly stop the forward momentum of the cue).....try...
