I agree, it's a fair number on both ends. It blows my mind seeing guys pay 100% upfront and expect makers to work with the same urgency as they would having to earn the final 50% upon delivery.

I've been self employed forever and it's necessary to take money upfront. I've been burned by people using no upfront payment as leverage to have the price dropped. That being said, anything more than a 50% deposit isnt necessary especially in this market with high labour / low material costs.

I agree Jam, And I can only imagine what you've seen happen over the years. When the best players played each other back in the day (in my area) would rake balls all the time playing 8 ball the excuse was made that they didn't want to let the other guy use the open table as a way to loosen...

I've seen dozens of pros show poor etiquette, far worse than this. Joey could have missed, but I'd say the point of him raking them was that he didn't deserve to win the match, missing that out. If only you folks were on a live stream more often, might see who the hypocrites are around...
