I remember those days. I was one of the owners of the Galaxy Lounge in Co Springs and captain of their men's pool team that both those teams used to beat on year after year throughout the early 80's. And I mean BEAT-ON! We always came in 3rd or 4th in that league.

Thanks Crash. What is the height of the lights from the floor. It says to have them at 79 inches from the floor. How high are your Diamond lights?

We are in the process of putting together a billiards room in our retirement community. Here is my question. Will a Diamond pool table light for a 7" table work on an 8" table? If anyone has done this, how high is your light from the floor?

; Thanks Rob, that was my thinking also. That is why I asked if anyone has had success with using a 7' light on a 8' table and at what height they were successful? These lights a expensive and I don't want our community to buy the 7' lights if they won't work on a 8' table.

I met Marvin today and he said he was from Racine Wisconsin and also lived in Montana for many years. He said he was on the pro tour for a short time. He is just getting back into the game after an 18 year layoff.

He moved into a retirement community close to where I live. He is suppose to be a Pro pool player. I have not met him yet, I am going by what I have been told. I was just wondering if anyone had heard of him.

When I schedule a tournament I use 6 - 8 minutes to estimate the tournament length.

Hi Shawn, my experiences with Schmelke since 2008 has been great. I purchased the cue pictured in a prior post and that transaction was flawless. Since 2008 I also had 2 40 year old Schmelkes that they re-finished and one of those had a leather wrap and he found enough of the original product...

Here's mine. I think the "flat" means smooth leather as opposed to textured leather.
