    Not the USUAL tip question

As harsh as this sounds, If you put the same energy into your practice as you do worrying about your equipment you would play much better. The advice ideologist gave is sound. Play with whats on it or play with what you are used to now. Adjust from there. Good luck and enjoy your new cue...

    Lowballing prices

There are many so called “cuemakers” that over value their work and think it should command the same price as the true masters of the craft. I don’t know who Desi2960 is nor do I care to after reading this thread. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Should I buy this Balabushka Remake :/

I would most always choose a custom cue over a production cue though I would encourage you to call up the cuemaker and have it built to your design and specifications. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

anyone else have glazing issues with PRECISION LAYERED TIPS (SEARING)

Why have we as pool players abandoned tip tools, tip tappers and plain old 100 or 60 grit sand paper to keep the tips maintained to hold chalk? We will pay $40 to have a single tip installed and expect not to have to do any basic maintenance at all. It's amazing anyone can run 3 balls today.

    New Cue questions

Call Mike Bender up and have him make you a shaft to your liking. He can vary the taper to make it less stiff and use a shorter ferrule to reduce end mass. You don't need to sell your cue just get a new shaft.

Last time I checked Shane Van Boening played with a CueTec. You might start there it works pretty well for him.

    Triangle pro chalk.

To answer your question on price i'd say $5 a cube though I have been playing with the same piece of Outsville Great White (in Mako Blue) for over a year. It's about halfway gone now. It's really good chalk and my favorite for the money at this point.

Cue advice, low deflection or standard recommended ?

You do t need to buy a new cue not a new shaft to play at a high level. If you want a new shaft or new cue try a few out to see what you like. Proper practice will build your stroke, buying a new cue/ shaft not so much.

Unfortunately I do not have the cue I only have these pics. At first I thought it was part of the Viking DeCues line but after looking at the old brochure I do not believe it is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can someone provide accurate info on the cue in the pictures. Artwork by McNally, it appears to be an image similar to Pamela Anderson standing on an 8 ball. See attached pictures.

Best cue tip for Mezz WX700 ?

A triangle is a good tip and won't break you. Try pressing them and then putting them on.

i think i am turning into one of " those " league players

Maybe if you're tired of leagues, try switching to playing 14.1. Straight Pool has it's own challenges and rewards.

    Is Southwest the best?

I've only shot with a couple of South West Cues. They were nice cues, collectable cues, but they were no better than any other custom cue I've played with and I have played with several. I imagine that if there was a serious advantage given to a player by a particular custom cue maker, then...

💡💡I think $300-500 is the MOST that should be spent on a cue!!

You are really good at stating the obvious. does your $300-$500 range include only one shaft? a Predator is what $200-$250 per shaft and you know some people can't play with out one. Many players like to have two shafts so by your math that would mean that a player may be reduced to playing...
