    BUCK HORN white tail

The thing about antlers is they have to be solid enough to use. I have a ton of antlers ive cut up that are useless. If the center is pithy, its useless. You can try to save it somehow or just try and use it, but it will crack and fail. For ferrules, the closer you get to the end of the...

    Willards Tipper Trimmer/Fiber Pad?

Yup, i used to own one also. It paid for itself quickly. I put the pad on, trimmed it almost flush, then put the tip on. Joe

    laminated shaft?

The first shaft i left pretty fat, at a full 13mm and it did seem a bit heavy, but the second shaft i took down to 12.7mm and pulled the taper back farther and it plays pretty good so far. Im not changing anything just yet, and i still have a couple hundred maple shafts in the works, but i was...

    laminated shaft?

I must have just gotten lucky then. The first shaft has a 1/2 inch threaded titan ferrule, and the one i just finished has a 1/2 threaded ivory ferrule and they both have a beautiful tone to them. They have a nice crisp "ponk" to them. Joe

    brush on auto clear?

Anyone ever tried it? I know its supposed to be shot, but im just curious what would happen if you brush it on in very light coats. Joe

    laminated shaft?

I just finished a shaft i mad from a flat laminated blank. This is the second one ive made and im very impressed with how it hits and plays. So i asked myselfn i said "self, why dont i see other cue makers using these?" (The reference to self was stolen from BHQ, thanks Brent, lol.) It seems...

my first pointed cue and my first wrap.

Thanks man! Ive been getting advice and criticism from this forum since i very first started making cues, so ive learned to take it all in stride. Ive actually learned quite a bit from some of the harsh criticism ive had, but i respect the guys who came before me and take the time to give me...

Im not mad at ya man, i respect your opinion. If you didnt like the work, id wanna know, but how we like our cues to look is totally subjective and i appreciate your input. Joe

    what glue for leather wraps?

I did. I used a genuine wrap magic fixture made by your company. It worked flawlessly. The errors in the wrap were the sole fault of the operator! (Me) lol. Joe

my first pointed cue and my first wrap.

I did. I made the cut on my tapering machine using the indicator i have mounted on it, so the router went in right at .045. I almost messed up and cut it .090 at first! Lol. I forgot to figure that you have to double the measurement! I was close to making more firewood, but luckily, i...
