my first pointed cue and my first wrap.

Damn I'm impressed Joe !!! I would LOVE for my first cue to come out even half that good.

Thanks man! Ive made a bunch of plain janes and sneakys, this is my first pointed cue ive made. I know some may not like the way it looks, but its what i wanted and im very pleased. Im glad i did the lizard wrap, it looks good to me and i like the texture of it.

I love my Lucasi cue so what do i know.

Looks nice! i'm not to big on the lizard wrap either (sorry...) just a flow thing for me. It matches your joint, but thats about it. You have some nice colors and grain patterns in the curly maple forearm (carmel, yellow into brown coco points) and then the butt sleeve is a nice dark color as well. it just seems to disrupt the flow of the cue. keep in mind this is mostly subjective, so don't sweat it. Overall i dig it. I like the simple style. Also, it takes guts to put your stuff out for critique. Keep up the great work!

Im not mad at ya man, i respect your opinion. If you didnt like the work, id wanna know, but how we like our cues to look is totally subjective and i appreciate your input.

Thanks man! Ive been getting advice and criticism from this forum since i very first started making cues, so ive learned to take it all in stride. Ive actually learned quite a bit from some of the harsh criticism ive had, but i respect the guys who came before me and take the time to give me their honest opinion. Id rather have a veteren cue maker scold me for screwing up than to have a guy tell me how great my work is, even if it sucks. That tough love stuff really does work. Lol.
