Thanks for the shout-out Jude but there are of course lots of guys who play better bar table 8 ball than me. How many of them are like me and limit their bar table (and 8-ball, for that matter) play to exactly a 9 day period each year in May, I don't know... ;) - Steve

I've always thought it's because of the dreadfully boring between-rack safety play of true beginners. It's absolutely not their fault - until players can consistently set for breakshots, playing 10 safeties off a closed rack every 14 balls is the only option, but also a real momentum-killer...
