$5 action and the Great white Boulder...

Yep, that mud ball was like playing with a giant ball bearing.. They were always dirty looking from what ever it was impregnated with. I never played with my playing cue stick when ever it was used in a bar. I always used something off the wall. I was always afraid it would ruin my cue. You...

Gambling One Pocket with Tight or Big pockets?

A huge difference for the better player on big pockets is the banking aspect. On thigh pockets most cross corner banks are shot with lag speed but with the looser pockets the better player will bank these shots with whatever speed is necessary to get position on the next ball to start a big run...

    My pool table project

I just finished refinishing the rosewood rails on my Centennial table. A previous owner of the table got the brilliant idea of cutting into the beautiful wood rails to insert score keepers. He put in Gold Crown score keepers and not the after market score keepers that were available for this...

So, it's that the way Oscar found out about it. If so, wrong wrong wrong. We deserve an explanation. What happened to the top five like last year.

Is it the rules or just me?

Even after the two fouls games were fading away and one foul was becoming the favorite game, mainly because of tournaments where matches in regards to time could be predicted. In the big money games most players still preferred two shot pushout because it mainly eliminated most of the luck...

9 ball, what would you do?

Don't know if anyone suggested this. This would be my option. No kiss here. Seven ball is long gone before cue ball goes through that area.

    Interesting situation

I'm a bit confused. Did the ball drop before he shot the next ball? If it did, then what's the problem. Also who shoots that quick.

Change Shafts Like There Throw Aways

I understand what your saying and I respect all of it but there are many like me that that like to feel the untreated wood with my bare hand and no glove. I have no problem in spending for a new shaft when I feel it's time to do so.

Change Shafts Like There Throw Aways

They wear out just by running through your bridge hand. I have to replace mine about every three years. Never use anything on them except a clean towel just to wipe then down every once in awhile. Johnnyt is correct. Just like the cue ball wears out just by rolling on the cloth.

    Ugh to Virtual Pool 4...

I have the game and can say that it is as realistic as it can get. Granted there's no substitute for the real thing but it comes close. By the way Tate, he is now known as Savanna Slim.

    Dreaming about Pool

Ha ha, now I do remember dreaming about my car being stolen and the only thing that I was concerned with was that my cue went with it. I didn't care about the car. Felt good after waking and realized it was just a dream. Same as Lou said.
