Advice needed for transport & moving 9' Diamond Smart Table

Get a cart. If that is not possible, take it apart and get the slate out and move in pieces. You will damage the equipment or your help if you try to move one of those 9 footers all together with no cart.

    Coins under the rails! HELP!!

More than likely the rail cloth was not trimmed close enough or bunched up and not in the cloth relief, so it is being pinched under the rail and not allowing the entire foot of the rail to rest on the slate. The fix would be to take them off, trim the cloth so it lays in the cloth relief and...

    3M10/Spray 77 - compatibility

It that situation it is only as strong as the weakest glue. The Spray 77 would let go much quicker than the 3M10. I have used this combination to finish off pockets on GC tables in the past and it works ok. Why not just use 3M10 on the cloth as well?

    What Table to Purchase?

I think so. From a mechanic standpoint, there is nothing on those tables that will wear out enough to make the table inoperable. They are a 100+ year table. The one piece slate is also the best thing going as far as getting the table level and keeping it level with the leveling system...

    What Table to Purchase?

Nope. It is the same as a regular GC but with a little tighter pockets.

    pocket resizing question

The pocket work is really not a problem, but as said before you will more than likely need new rubber on there. While you are getting the pockets made smaller, it would be a good idea to correct the geometry of the pockets as well.

    pool table in a garage

It really depends on the table, but it is usually not worth the cost/trouble to put a return on a table that doesn't have one.

    pool table in a garage

It's not too bad to do. I had one in my garage for 3+ years with no ill effects. I have had a few customers use a portable AC unit that is vented out under the garage door, and they do surprisingly well. If you are looking for a table to put in there, I have a few Diamond Pro-AMs and some...

    Missed matched GC rails

If you have the rails rebuilt, it does not matter that they do not match. I have rebuilt sets that came from 3 or 4 different tables, GC1 and GC2 that turned out just fine once they were done.

How wide of a door needed for Diamond Pro-Am?

What is usually more of a concern is if there is a straight shot before and after the door.

    K66 vs K55 ... playability

The profile that fits on the rails that I am working on. Different thickness subrails call for different profile cushions. You can not put k55 cushions on a Olhausen table for example with out a lot of extra work going into it. The subrails are just too thin. Other than the Artemis...

    How would you fix this?

Those brackets really need to be taken off and straightened out. With the insert, either epoxy it in there, or get a larger one that will bite into the wood. If you epoxy, don't use the 5 minute stuff, get some jb weld. It is much stronger than the 5 minute epoxy. It would be a good time to...

Cutting new pocket facings to fit rails

    1. Yes 2. Make rough over sized facings first, then trim to fit. 3. Razor Blade or sharp knife 4. Yes 5. In my opinion they are the way to go.
