    What would you do here?

Hello guys, I am doing some research for a possible future video. Could you give me your vote on the pocket of your choice for the seven ball? I allowed to choose multiple pockets, in case you are trying to have multiple options depending on your accuracy in cue ball control. This is the 9...

    Sharivari's take on aiming systems

You can't say that. I had a conversation with Ralf Souquet the other day, discussing about this topic. He also uses the ghost ball on certain shots. However, I wouldn't call him a beginner.

    Aiming System Or Not?

Oh, can a mod move it into the other forum?

    Aiming System Or Not?

I've always had the feeling that this topic divides people the most. So I finally made a video about it. Keep in mind, that this is my personal opinion and that it worked for me. I am also convinced, that this approach is going to work for a lot of other players, that's why I've shared it. Side...

I found my perfect training game

You can actually adjust the rules that way. Let's say you are in a tough position and prefer a safety shot. Play it successfully, with a full cover: you get 3 extra points. Play a containing safety, and you get 1 extra point. That way you are able to get rewarded for good - and better safety play.

I found my perfect training game

During a training session with one of my students, he was playing against the ghost in 9 Ball. I've noticed, that this wasn't ideal for him. He was constantly racking the balls, then playing one or two shots and got more and more frustrated. I thought that there must be a better way to practice...

    Another Gimmick Or Legit?

Yes, they were just stealing my videos to promote their product. Never used it. Happened very frequently a couple of months ago, unfortunately I couldn't find and report everything.

Top 10 BEST SAFETIES of All Time … And How to Shoot Them

Very good video Doc. My favorite is #8.

What would You have done here?

I just published a new video (https://youtu.be/-AZTFLhDHM8) that deals with shot selection and probabilities. I think the concept should be clear for the majority. However this kind of video offers a lot to discuss about. And from the comments I got on YouTube I see that it has already started...

amazing draw by Jeff De Luna

That shot was just unreal. Of course on new cloth it's a bit easier. But jacked up from the rail, even with right hand english, impressive. I am just wondering if everyone in the crowd had their eyes closed.

    Important Tips for Beginners

No. But the right timing is responsible for the right speed of the stick at impact.

    Important Tips for Beginners

Thanks Scott. Yes, that is very true. However I just simplified what you just explained with "following through". It would have been too much to explain the concept of timing in this video. However, I did it once in another video about how to get more rotation on the cue ball. There are even...

Pool in need of another great ambassador

I know this is a bit of an unpopular opinion, but I think Filler could be it. Of course not because of his personality and behavior, but because of the massive talent he has. Maybe even a antihero.

    Important Tips for Beginners

Those are some very valid points. I made a survey on my page and the majority wrote about fundamentals, a pre shot routine and a stop shot. I totally agree with the stop shot. With that you know how to move the cue ball along the tangent line. And this gives you one clear reference line for...

Whos instructional videos do you like?

In my opinion Tor Lowry has the best videos out there. I used to watch his videos a lot when I started playing pool and was hungry to get better. He just started to release some new stuff on his channel.

    Important Tips for Beginners

As a pool player and coach I noticed one thing that many beginners do wrong, when playing shots with spin on the cue ball. The mind blowing thing is, that they could actually get better results with less effort. I've put it into a video: https://youtu.be/EXZym0lfTkw It's just one small thing...

How would you run this rack?

Yes, I should've played the 8-Ball with just top spin to get perfect position. I still don't agree with the 9-Ball into the side pocket. But I did think about it and even had conversations with professional players about it. They would've played for the corner pocket aswell. But as it always...

How would you run this rack?

Since in pool there is not the right or wrong way to run a rack, I would love to hear your thoughts on that 9-Ball layout. How would you run this rack? Especially from the 8 to the 9 people were discussing if the 9 should be played into the side pocket, or into the corner pocket. I personally...

How to Aim with Side Spin

This certainly must be the most requested topic of all time. When I remember the times I started playing pool, I didn't even know about deflection. And some point someone told me about deflection. From there on I always adjusted just for deflection. And I am sure some beginners out there are...

Do this Drill on Video and win 50$

Maybe I am a little late. No, I didn't move the cue ball and would never do such a thing. But you're actually not the first one who said that. I already uploaded the uncutted footage the next day to prove it: https://youtu.be/XySGJVOSI9U Yes Bob, that was the main problem why people got...
