    RIP Chad "Big Nasty" Pollman

Nasty loved him some pool cue cases. I'll never forget the early mornings at Derby sitting with him while nothing was going on and talking about pool cue cases and the different designs we'd get. I LOVED the case that Jay Jensen made for Nasty that he brought to Iowa for the SVB/Frost match. The...

    RIP Chad "Big Nasty" Pollman

Shane just posted that Nasty passed away from a heart attack this morning. The world is a lesser place today and one of the most entertaining people i've ever known is gone. I spent a lot of time with Chad and when my father was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, Chad sent care packages of TAR...

If you could recast The Color of Money...

I've actually thought about this many times and its actually hard to think of a cast that would click and do justice to the movie. Even though I absolutely despised him when he was younger, I think DiCapprio would be great as Vincent. As for Eddie, i'm going a different direction and saying...

What AZ'er(s) You've Never Met But Would Like To - And Optionally, Why?

Man, you've got low expectations, lol. As for me, I've been really lucky in meeting alot of the great AZers. I would love to eventually run into bigskyjake, jrt3004, Superstar, Mahnamahna, dora and many others. The ultimate would be getting me, JCIN, bignasty, bigskyjake, easy-e, disco...

    Rest in peace, Grady.

I feel very fortunate that when i'm older i'll be able to be one of the "old" guys who talks about having met Grady and hit some balls with him. He has not left a footprint, but instead a crater of influence in the pool world with his memory. Although I mourn his passing, I know the struggles he...

    Please pray for Grady.

I am not a spiritual man by any means, but I can say that I will never forget the night that Grady showed up while I was running the stream for TAR at DCC late one night and I turned off the volume and got to talk to him during a 1 pocket match. It was a truly inspiring and educational event in...

AZB lost a good member today

This forum is a little less today. I thoroughly enjoyed his input to this forum and to the streams. He will be dearly missed and my thoughts are with his family.

What would happen if someone were to break Mosconi's record of 526?

Barney, although I hate to say it, the only way your predictions would come true would be if the person was molesting a boy in a shower while breaking the record. They have trouble covering records that are broken in baseball, football and basketball, let alone our little corner of the sports...

How long have you been playing with your cue?

Been playing with my sneaky for a little over 10 years.

Have you ever bought a cue without having tried it?

Yes. I bought a Scruggs sneaky without trying it. I bought it to add to my sneaky collection and because i got a decent deal on it. Whats funny is that I hate the hit of it and have only played with it maybe 3 or 4 times.

What Were The Top Ten PPV's For TAR?

I don't have no idea about numbers, but I know that SVB/Strickland on the 10 footer did pretty well. At the time, Efren/SVB at the DCC was up there too.

Open Offer to Danny Harriman and John Schmidt from TAR

There better be no more threads on AZ about how sad the state of pool is considering here's a pro saying that $1000 (which is a hell of alot more than a large percentage of Americans would make for 3 days of work) is an insult. I'm glad to hear the the recession in the billiards industry is...

Larry Price passed away this weekend.

I'm sorry to hear this. Larry was one of those guys who rubbed alot of people the wrong away, but I never had a problem with him and got along with him. I knew he had alot of heart problems the past 5-10 years. My condolences to his family and close ones.

How do fat people play pool ?

I know how you feel. I went to the doctor back on November 17th for a regular check-up since I hadn't had one in forever. When I got on the scale and saw the number, I almost started crying. But it was actually a life changing moment and hit me hard. Since then i've changed what i'm eating and...
