I am shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Royce Bunnel's passing (OB Cues). He was far too young! It's really hard to believe. My condolences to his family and friends. R.I.P. Royce! Man..............

It's really simple... Don't like the room as is, stop going. If enough people stop their patronage, either the necessary renovations get made or they close. Either way, problem solved.

Huh, never knew you were in the area/scene back then I was the daytime houseman at Hollywood Billiards (Sat/Sun/Mon) in 1991 - I was 19yrs, but was told to say I was 21 in case anyone asked - I had houseman tenure & street cred as a former Hard Times employee - LOL!

Good luck with the event, but events like this (no pros) contribute to all the ills of competitive play. As always there is no definitive pro or non-pro, but the biggest issue is the punishment/banishment of good pool players. Why would anyone want to get to a high level...
