all this talk about stiff cues. who likes whipy cues?

I just got a new cue from the guys at Carolina Customs and it hits real stiff. the ferrule is a little longer than normal though and the tip seems to put plenty of spin on the ball (I think it's an Everest tip). The shaft is 13mm. The combination of all that seems to be just right for me...

FS: two very nice, brand new SPs

These two cues had another brother - which I have now. Trevor from CC sent me a pic with three cues a couple weeks ago - these two were in it as well as the SP I ended up getting. I have to say the cue I got plays absolutely incredibly. My bet is that these do too!

    Hackers

When I was a kid my dad (who was, and is, pretty good) told me to tap the cue on the bottom of the blinders to knock off the extra chalk. I don't do it anymore, but I do pay attention to how much chalk I have on the tip. He never owned a high-dollar custom though, if he did I think he would...

    Happy Birthday Greg Sullivan

Happy Birthday. You might find it funny that the one and only person my dad has ever mentioned by name about beating at a game of pool was you - he said you were the first really good player he ever saw in real life, and I think he knows how lucky he was to get one in on you!

    Carolina Customs

Pretty much everyone has good customer service when things are going good. The test is when things don't go quite as planned. That was the case with a sneaky I ordered from Carolina in mid December. Their service was great through the ordering process, and they even made some modifications to...

    books or dvd's

I got the "How To Run a Rack" video from AccuStats - it was good, but could have been better. Really I got more info about breakshots from that video than anything else. I do like the drill he presents in it though. What I want is a video that goes into great detail about the right and wrong...

    Identify Yourself

I can set up a forum if you guys want one. Also, I believe the guys here at AZ could probably create a private forum specifically for cue makers - that way you keep the same account and everything.

I'm starting to think anything that gets people to the table is good for the game.
