Amazing pool shots from Efren Reyes

Appears like a touch of right with extreme high english. I believe his preference would have been to have gone further and clear the cue ball closer to him or even graze the eight on the side nearest to him. Still a great shot, but he might have preferred to not have to shoot over the eight...

Amazing pool shots from Efren Reyes

I guess I came in late on this thread and can't comment because I don't know the exact shot everyone's speaking about. There is one in the video where Efren goes two rails and lands in between the 7 and 8, and then the pool table diagram where the six is near the rail. Danny

Amazing pool shots from Efren Reyes

Sorry again, but the shot I see here can be done with high right, and hard. You might be able to do it with follow only, as well. The force of the shot causes the cue ball to hit the ball, then the rail and come back a little and then curve toward the bottom rail. The butt of the cue need not be...

Amazing pool shots from Efren Reyes

Maybe I'm on the same page as everyone? The cut on the six in the corner? I edited my post to reflect the seven instead of the eight. I really don't think Efren intended on hitting the seven- too risky and a possible chance of a scratch or missed position. By using a little low and right hand...

Amazing pool shots from Efren Reyes

Sorry guys, Efren shot it with inside and a little low english, and meant to come down to the end rail for shape in the side or corner pocket, not hitting the eight. He even lines it up that way before the shot. He overcuts the ball (but still makes it) and comes too far towards the eight and...

    Back pain affecting play

Joey, A chiropractor told me years ago that the normal "Mosconi" stance can cause back problems. He told me to do sort of a "half squat" , bending both knees and face the table more squarely. I still get some back problems but not from pool. Danny K

Amazing Closest Jump Shot I Seen

Yeah, it may be a shaft or jump cue, but still one is a foul and the other isn't. Danny

Amazing Closest Jump Shot I Seen

You have a couple of different shots here. Yeah, with a full cue as in the video in slo mo it's a foul, but if you notice the pool cue is beyond vertical, and is a full cue. So the cue ball is hitting the cue a second time. In the video we're questioning though, the cue (shaft only) is slanted...

Amazing Closest Jump Shot I Seen

The cuestick quickly gets out of the way, backwards because of the light weight of the shaft. I don't hear a foul, but I suppose there could be one. If you think about it, though the circumference of the cue ball hopping over another sphere is not tantamount to the ball having to go straight up...

Doesn't look like a foul to me. Absolutely amazing.

Pool Article In The NY Times

Therein is a problem for pool room owners. If you don't allow smoking you will definitely lose regulars to other rooms right away. If you do allow smoking, you're right, many people won't come in. How about a non-smoking section? I tried that after the smoking ban took effect in California and...

Yeah, Wayne will take that great head of hair to his grave. It's white now but still as full as ever. Still runs a hundred every month or so. Danny K
