Attention Reno 911 can you repond to a pool update?
Anyone know the latest? Thanks.

I know how you feel, man. I've never seen coverage like this for the Sands Regency. I guess I didn't get the memo that AZBilliards.com no longer considers it a major event. :D

Shane beat Johnny the second set 9-3 and won the tourney.
This was the first time I saw Shane play and is he ever amazing!
Johnny was on a roll but couldn't quite do it this time.

Congrats to Shane! It's amazing to think what he has accomplished in 2007. Years from now we may all be able to look back at this year and realize we saw the rise of one of the best players to ever screw two pieces of wood together.

Shane's Spectactular Year 2007.

It's kind of funny, comparing Shane to Efren but his interviews show his meek side. It's just when he gets on the pool table that he acts a little agressive. LOL.

This has been a spectacular year for Shane. Wishing him many more.

Trust me, he ain't meek. This is a quietly confident young man. He thinks he is supposed to win wherever and whenever he plays!

Shane is just like Efren with his temperment. His demeanor in interviews is always meek even with his belief that he is supposed to win wherever and whenever he plays.

There are many interpretations of meek. I prefer this one:
Showing patience and humility; gentle.

I think guys like Shane and Efren do not like the false bravado that some champions demonstrate and so they act in just the opposite manner, especially in interviews. This doesn't mean they are weak which some people equate as meek.

You can be patient, humble and gentle yet perform as a tenacious, powerful and confident champion. The two of them prove it.

Actions speak louder than words.

I'm so glad to hear that Shane won. I can't think of another player (besides Keith) that showed so much speed at such a young age. Rempe maybe?

It seems that if American pool is going to have a savior, that perhaps that is Shane. Or perhaps the time has come to stop seeing all the boundaries and just talk about the state of world pool, in which case, pool is alive and well, just the epicenter has moved a bit.

Go Shane!
