No Pics Yet, but I'll Tell ya About It. (good read)

Clever move with the coin, Eric. I also love gold coins. The coin in my avatar is too big for a cue, but it might look cool on the front of a beekeeper's hood. BTW: when someone asks you what happened to that gold coin you just bought, I suggest that you not say that you stuck it up your...

Simonis X-1 -- six months later.

No pressure at all. Hold it so that all you are doing is dragging it around. It won't work as well with pressure.

Looking forward to seeing pictures of this one, Eric. One question, though: Will Earl have to wear his bee-keeper's outfit when he comes over to play? :grin-square:

Simonis X-1 -- six months later.

I've had mine for one year now, and am completely satisfied. It works just as advertised. I occasionally brush under the rails and wipe with a slightly damp cloth every month or so. Other than that, I've used only the X-1 and the cloth is in great condition. Fine product.

    39" butt feeler

Well, damn. I'm disappointed. I read through this entire thread thinking it was going to be about a midget groper in a crowded elevator.

    rehabing a GC3. Subrails? Rubber?

But keep in mind that he would still have to repair the pockets as Glen mentioned. My new GC5 was a POS until Donny fixed the rails. If it was me, I'd jump on those rails that Donny has.

It used to be that every small town had a small pool hall. No more. That's what I miss with pool today.

    Simonis color

I've always stuck with green, but after hearing many remarks about blue being better for old eyes, I had Simonis powder blue put on the Gold Crown last year. I was surprised to find that I do see and shoot better on the blue cloth. It definitely improved my game, such as it is. I still don't...

    The New Smart CB

I'm waiting for Smart CB version 3.0. The first Smart CB, version 1.0, ran under Windows, and would crash on draw shots. The current 2.0 version runs under Bally pinball software, and has a tendency to Tilt when hit hard. :smile-us-down:

Magic, Blue Diamond, Pre Flag chalk..

From an old thread: I ran across this post* which mentions lead in billiards chalk. The date on the web page is November 2003, but it doesn't mention the date of manufacture for the chalk. I have been unable to find the original study. *the web page is no longer available.
