I have made about 8 ring billets since i started 18 Mths ago. I have only used 1/4" and 1/8" width bits so far. They are carbide router straight bits I got from ebay and are plenty long for my needs..I havn't tried the smaller slots yet, and since reading KJ's post i can now understand why 3...

Ring work I'm rather new at this and have a question about ring billets. I notice you make 3 different sizes. Why not make one size like 1.35 or so for the O.D. and cut the slots deeper to fit the joint size? Thats how i do it, never thought of 3 sizes.. thanks

i'm rather new at this, but I agree with Arnot.. Its the owners right to do what he chooses to do with his cue, But at the same token I also believe that any changes to the original cue would void any warrantee or guarantees..Just my opinion..
