I wasn't trying to bust anybodies balls about the price of the retail mandrels. My 1st set was from Rocker..A great set too...At a great price..Some choose to buy them and some may choose to make there own as they do with other cue making fixtures...I dont know what the big secret is anyway...

Carbide drill bushings are used for the sanding mandrells. They are about $35-$40 Each. Machine a piece of Brass (5.00$)to about .003 - .005 over the ID of the drill bushing then freeze it. Insert it in the drill bushing and let it get to room temperature. Drill the desired female thread on one...

mini q lathe I made a costly mistake and purchased one of these machine too.. It may be a little better set up than the cowboy lathe..LOL... The only thing i like about the machine is the DC motor setup. I only use mine for sanding and finishing now..But if someone likes them enough to buy one...
