Why does Donnie not travel? He claims he can beat all these players, yet will not travel for a 10k set? Just seems a little nitty to me.

Earl was jumping with his full cue long before Sammy. Sammy invented the jump cue. Scotty Townsend is also pretty sporty jumping with a full cue, but no one did it like Earl.

I would have waited until they got finished and I would have told the guy that I saw him do it. Then I would also let the cheat know I saw it too. Maybe it would make him think twice about doing it again if he knows people are paying attention.

To intentionally cheat someone is unethical...plain and simple. You can try and sugar-coat it all you want, but most everyone knows the difference between right and wrong.

This is hitting the nail on the head. This is why pool will probably never take off in the USA. There needs to be a substanial punishment for players that do this to try and discourage it.

Basically, you are justifying racism on a financial level when in fact it isn't justifiable on ANY level. If there werent different degrees of punishment for breaking the law, then the punishment for a traffic ticket and murder would be the same.

I myself do respect Jean Balukas as a player with 16 consecutive wins (which hasnt been beaten yet) and as a person for standing up for what she thought was right in her decision to leave the Women's Tour. The sport lost a great participant, but she did what she felt she had to do.

I think the biggest aspect of these two greats sports that should be compared are the mechanics and fundementals. While there are exceptions, if you can conquer these two things...you will be on your way to playing better.
