    Surgery For Old Eyes

We are fortunate to live in today's medical technology times. A good friend of mine "Jimbo" whom was a great player back in the 80's, lost most of his eyesight in the 90's. He had Lasik surgery on both eyes and is now shooting lights out again. Best of luck to you Joe!! Darin

Are you in favor of mixed tournaments/matches?

I think it was 2 years ago at the Vegas BCA that the men and the women played in separate tournaments at the same time. I truly enjoyed that as a spectator. Each session was something like 5 men's matches and 5 women's. It was great to get the best of both worlds.

    APA and jump cues

Interesting how leagues vary on rules. I use my break cue to jump when necessary in my league. I have asked the operator. He says its legal. Hmmmm maybe I should break with my jump cue:confused:

    Which league is oldest?

Though I am not 100% sure. I think the BCA has been around sice the late 1940's

    New to AZ

Welcome to the AZworld. I lived in Chicago as a kid. Miss a lot of great people there and the Bears, but they can keep the winters. You can really learn a lot from the threads in here, as I have. There are a lot of very Knowledgeable pool players here. Best of luck, Darin

    Sportsmanship

I agree with you NewStroke. Integrity is priceless!! I saw that to and was quite shocked to say the least. 16K is a lot of coin but atleast the carma caught up to him. To me that was an embarrasment to him, his sponsors and the integrity of the game. He is no longer on my list of favorite players.

Do/Can you jump with your playing cue?

I use my break cue with a water buffalo tip to jump with when I have to. Prevents damaging playing cue tip. Also my break cue is a bit shorter and easier to get on top of.
