so this is attempt number two at a one-pocket themed shirt.

i'm assuming most people are familiar with the D.A.R.E. logo that this is a parody of???

personally, i wish we could have made it funny, but we couldn't put together any clever "d" words to start and any good "e" words to end it. so we're going with "Demonstrating One Pocket Excellence".

now, please unleash your constructive criticism with reckless abandon. we wanna know if this shirt is lackluster before we waste money and print a ton of them. or is this a kick-a$$ T that you'd be proud to have in your collection?

1P players want something mellow. They are generally older, more conservative members of the pool community. I think they will like it. I wouldnt print a ton-that's just dumb. Print a moderate amount and you will know if you need more at your first show on the first day.
 
Eh...Not sure I want everyone saying "Hey dope wanna play?" Something small and consertive on the front and maybe something on the back would be more interesting...

I have to be honest. I would never wear a shirt with the word DOPE on it. Maybe in the 60's but not today. Second being older I like a sports shirt over a T shirt. Pocket and collar. I also wear slacks not pants or jeans when given a choice and I'm closer to 60 then 50 years old so take that into account. Last I don't want to stand out. Flying under the radar is more my style.

I agree that I would not wear a shirt with word dope on it. I also don't think enough people play one pocket to make it go. The main problem for me though is the word DOPE in
large letters.
 
yo comprendo. we definitely understand where everyone is coming from and appreciate the feedback. back to the drawing board for now. :outtahere:

i dig the design but after reading this i think making the "dope" part a hair smaller might be better. i don't play 1 hole a lot but i think the shirt's cool enough to pick one up
 
I kinda dig it and threw some of my ideas for the "D" and "E" below...feel free to use them in any way you'd like.

I use a site, www.cafepress.com , you don't have to have shirts printed in advance and people can buy products with the logo on damn near anything. So you're never out any costs and you can just point people to your "store". You control the markup costs and they take care of EVERYTHING else after the design..shipping, returns etc...So you can put all your designs up there and see what does best.

"Daring One Pocket Expert/Enthusiast" - Making fun of yourself with the "Dope" acronym
"Developing One Pocket Excitement" - Again, poking fun ..."you must be a dope to try to bring attention to one pocket" not my personal feelings, it's just not that mainstream of a game.
"Dispelling One Pocket Evil(s)"
"Dude, One Pocket's Exciting"
"Dude, One Pocket's Easy"
"Damn One Pocket Experts/Enthusiasts"

And on a side note...."DOPE, It's not just for breakfast anymore" That's kinda funny to me.

I got a bit carried away. :smile:

I think you'd get more mileage from some sort of "one hole" pun. The "D.A.R.E." thing's what, ten years old?

Keep working at it, though.
 
What does the word "dope" have to do with one pocket or pool? Is it just naughty? Couldn't you come up with something for "poop"?

Something a little less juvenile might find a larger market.

I would buy one of these shirts. I am into the game and am not an older gentleman. I also however am all about supporting anything that has to do with pool. Even if it was a straight pool shirt I would buy one. Cause it also gets people talking about the sport. Ya Know???
 
I would not wear it, but I have a few friends that would love it. I might even buy one as a gift.
