New to AZ

Hello, I am new to AZ. I have enjoyed this great game ever since my dad introduced it to me when I was ten or twelve. When I lived in Chicago, I spent a day with Preacher Feeney at his home in Naperville. I enjoyed the pool instruction, but all the stories about the game, and all the people in it, were really enjoyable. He had a story about most of the pros. At lunch time we walked down to his favorite hot dog place and he bought us hot dogs for lunch. You got it, then more stories. I really enjoy tournaments, pay your entry fee, do your best, win you keep playing, lose you go home, or stay and bet some on the side. I am originally from Ky. (GO Wildcats) but now living in Wi. My cue a Black Boar. My wife says if the house was on fire I would save the Boar before her. I told her that's not true, the Boar can't cook. (lol)

Not to shabby of a first post. Chicago, one of the great cities, I played at a place called Q billiards once. Welcome to the forum don't let it own you:smile:.
 
Welcome to the AZworld. I lived in Chicago as a kid. Miss a lot of great people there and the Bears, but they can keep the winters.
You can really learn a lot from the threads in here, as I have. There are a lot of very Knowledgeable pool players here.

Amazing to see that you've already collected a full load of greenies. It took me a couple years, earning them one by one, to get where you're at after two posts. Actually, I thought it was lots more fun that way, but anway, have a blast. You live in a great pool town.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. When you were playing in Chicago did you run across a guy name John Zaxcas? I probably miss spelled his last name. He is a nice guy and a lights out shooter. He owns a place called Red Shoe Billiards. If you ever pass through there stop and say hi to him. It's a nice place, and he is always ready to shoot some. I lived in Chicago when they won their last Super Bowl, man, that town was rocking. I live in Wi. now and don't miss the city at all. I will find the pictures of my Boar. She is a plain jane, but she is like a naturally pretty woman, she doesn't need all that fancy makeup. But if you catch her on the wrong night, she can be one bad *****.(lol)
