My guess is that most decent players were pretty good shooters when they first picked up a cue. It’s pretty easy to see where you need to send the cue ball to pocket the ball you’re shooting, and if you have decent hand-eye coordination it’s not too hard to send the cue ball where you’re aiming...

That’s a good question. I use a pivot for english, so I guess my vision is centered on the cue ball rather than the shaft. I suppose I could move my head or my whole body when I pivot but I feel like that would be crazy. Which do you think is better?

I think those are the exact events that Matchroom is targeting with this language. They want one US Open and no other events to dilute their US Open, and to them 9-ball = pool, hence US Open Pool Championship and World Pool Championship with no 9-ball in the titles. I also think Predator’s...

That makes sense, because those events are on CSI’s 2019 events page but not 2020 or 2021.

It may also be relevant that CSI, who owns a series of “US Open” events including 10-ball, 8-ball, one pocket, straight pool, and banks, also just started their new US Pro pool series that Matchroom may see as competing with their events.

Yeah, but on a more positive note, maybe they’re just into it and want to make a video. People make videos about everything they do today, it’s free to post it, and they’re just having fun. Better pool than eating cinnamon or choking themselves into unconsciousness.
