    i would go with the Hightower for repairs or for cue building i would definitely have to have a metal lathe.i wish mine would spin as fast as cuesmiths above.that would be sweet,but as it is i am stuck at 1800rpm.

    Cooktown Ironwood with Quilt

    thanks guys,the pin is 3/8-10 black G-10 and the weight came out at 19oz natural. Eric you are probably right about the wood.i figured either Desert ironwood or maybe even in the Ipe family of ironwoods.it has that same grain pattern.i am looking forward to hitting some balls with it actually.

    yes,both Diveney and Crick mad/make great playing cues,which should be a cue makers best attribute.they also make nice looking cues but to me the way the cue plays is much more important.
