from what i understand the ar15 is the civilian version of the m16. it breaks down into a upper receiver (barrel) and lower receiver (everything else)

i shot an m16 a few times. it jams too mcuh and needs too much maintenance imo

Guys

Guys

this is a complete lower must be shipped to ffl dealer (the registered part or gun) all you need to make is fully functional is a upper reciever which contains the barrel and bolt which can be bought and shipped to your front door directly!

Costs to ffl dealer is s&h and what that dealer charges like here in Maryland it's between 25-50.00 and 10.00 to MD State Police

to buy an upper will cost anywhere between 4-1500 depends on what u want
it's like a cue I can but a cue for 100 or a black boar for 15,000

i was in the corps for 5ish years. we used these and as long as they're properly cleaned and you don't load the magazine all the way to 30 it'll work just fine.

keep your ejection port cover closed and you'll be fine!

UMMMM NO............The AR15 platform is one of the best designs ever for a firearm. Eugene Stoner was a genius. If the rifle you fired jammed, it was screwed up or had bad mags.

Yes, I would say they are very reliable. Some of the early models jammed over in SE Asia due to the wet and mud, but not too bad after that. I don't know what issues the guys in Iraq have had with them. I fired one quite a bit many years ago. I used to be able to field strip it and reassemble it blind-folded...I wouldn't count on that much anymore. As long as it is kept clean and oiled, they work great.

after you put more than a hundred rounds through it the carbon build up usually causes it to jam. if you're in a disty/sandy area you'll have to clean it more frequently.

i could be wrong though

they jam a whole lot more because of the dust and sand. everything seems to have more trouble working over there.

in poolplayers defense i did watch a rather long documentary on rifles in history and they basically trashed the M-16 saying that when the soldiers got their batch of M-16's shipped to them in Vietnam that they were getting killed left and right b/c of the gun constantly jamming with even a fleck of sand or dirt.meanwhile the AK-47's ciould be buried 6 feet under in a sand pit and they would come out firing like they were brand new.

i am assuming that huge improvements have been made since then especially since all this stuff looks like high end equip, but to say that the guy who created the gun was a genius for creating it seems a little strong considering countless soldiers lost their life b/c the gun jammed going up against an AK-47.according to the documentary.

honestly i do know guns pretty well, but have limited knowledge of fully automatic weapons since they are illegal to me.i may be way off here and i'm sorry if i am.i know documentaries can be biased also.
