    My grudge match with Drew

Nice catch, that's a good looking fish. It's too bad that, given the rest of the content of this thread, that there is no way any rational person would believe anything you say...ever. Maybe if you weren't so full of shit, people wouldn't treat you like you're totally full of shit.

    what do you think

Firstly, you're a beginner, and there's no way that you're ready for the awesomeness of the Lucasi Hybrid. That would be like trying to teach a four year old how to shoot a shotgun. Start out with something with a larger shaft, because this will strengthen your consistency...Thinner shafts...

    My grudge match with Drew

My Magic 8-Ball says "not likely". ETA: Drew made a pretty scathing post about 9BP the other day where he pretty much ripped him into little pieces. I'm guessing this is the retaliation thread.

Unique challenges that women players face

After all the years of speculation and debate about the talent gap between man and women, this is one that I've never heard... Women are subconsciously afraid that one of the guys in the room is checking them out, so they stand incorrectly. I dunno, I'm not sold yet.

Blue Diamond Chalk vs: Kamui Chalk

^^^ This. There are some people who just can't comprehend the idea that you brought your OWN chalk from home. Also, I accidentally bumped a brand new piece of BD into the side pocket of a coin-op table, and I was heartbroken. Having something like that happen with a piece of Kamui would have...

    Dennis Hatch

I remember a recent tournament where Johnny Archer lost a set against Mike Dechaine without winning a single game. I don't think that's a glaring testimony that Mike is the better player. As much as we like to place our heroes on pedestals, they are just people, and rotation games have enough...

    New brunswick metro table

Is this part of your house, or is it a converted garage? I ask because my space is in the garage, and temp control looks like it's going to be the toughest part. I'm thinking of installing a window AC, but I'm not sure of the best way to heat the place. Any tips would be appreciated.

    New brunswick metro table

VERY nice...I'm working on a man cave right now, but it will probably be a while before it's finished. I just moved into my new house two months ago, and I've got a lot of work to do. I hope mine looks as nice as yours when it's finished, with one exception...I have a REAL dart board. :D

    Cannabis, pool and life

Oh yeah, that was the original topic, wasn't it? I forgot. :D Anyone who thinks that chemically altering your brain makes you play better is misguided. Coke and meth may make a player unbeatable for a night, but there's a heavy penalty for those nights. Players who rely on powder to play well...

    break stick important?

This. If you must have a designated break cue, I haven't seen any evidence that any $500 cue breaks better than a $100 model. People that have good breaks will have a good break regardless of the wood they're using. People with crappy breaks will always be willing to spend that $500 on a break...

    Cannabis, pool and life

Pot is my anti-drug. It's a more than adequate substitute for the firewater that I've grown so fond of over the past few years... Ask my wife (an avid non-partaker), whether she would rather see me smoke pot every day, or drink whiskey every day. She wouldn't even hesitate. And really, I get...

    CA$H Cues - Tommy's Contact Info

And this is the reason that I don't buy things from this site. As much as I love this forum, there are just too many "upstanding" members here who have ripped people off. Also, Tommy, you broke commandment number 8... God is mad at you.

    CA$H Cues - Tommy's Contact Info

When I first joined AZ, I ordered a cue from a member with many successful transactions. (SouthPaw) Based on his history, it seemed like a fairly safe deal. I sent him a money order assuming that he would be sending me a cue soon. I never got the cue, and chalked it up to a lesson learned: Don't...

    Pepsi

Isn't Mountain Dew a Pepsi product? If so, then I have been and will continue to support them. A lot. It's cool that they're giving some of my money to pool. :)

    One Pocket Situation...What's Your Shot?

I'm probably giving this away too early, but the solution I chose was to hit the 10 ball dead on, and follow the CB forward to freeze to the bottom long rail near the second diamond. I protect every ball near my hole with this shot, allowing nothing at the 1,3,4,8. If you look carefully at...

    One Pocket Situation...What's Your Shot?

I just learned how to use cuetable, so this is mostly a test run, however, this is an actual situation that came up in a game for me earlier today. My pocket is the top left. How do you protect your position and/or win from here...

    Break/Jump Cue-Necessary or a Luxury?

I usually break with my playing cue, but I tend to lean more toward control than power on the break, so I like using the cue that I always use. I have a custom jump cue from a local maker that I couldn't live without. I would look into getting a jump cue and continue practicing your break...
