    Hearing Aid vs Mp3 Player

If you want to have the same "advantage" of a hearing impaired person at the table with their hearing aid turned down, just get some hearing protection. You can get some basic ear plugs or go with the big old ear muffs like Earl has used.

    Hearing Aid vs Mp3 Player

? If someone uses a hearing aid that would mean their hearing is impaired without it, correct? So that is most likely why they are allowed to keep them in, so they can hear. Turning it down or taking it out would have similar results, right?

    20 years

Welcome to the Forum. There are many cues for sale in the Wanted/For Sale section here on AZ Billiards. Start a post over there with your budget and what you want and you will get many replies. As far as recommendations, just tell them your preference on weight, shaft diameter, wrap style, and...

    Joint protectors?

I started out making sure every cue I owned had a set and took them on and off every time. After a while it was a pain so like Brian, I just use them on stored cues. As far as benefit, I dunno. It could protect your cues if you have a cheap case and drop it I guess. Or if the case falls...

    WTB 60" cue - $450

WTB 60" cue - $500 Looking for a friend who wants a 60" cue. He has a max budget of $500 for a nice cue, but will consider anything lower than that too. No LD shafts or thin shafts under 12.5mm. Lets see whats out there. Thanks!

Advice for picking a cue? Suggestions needed.

To answer the question, I think sticking with one cue helps. At least that was my personal experience. I have been through quite a few cues, but I also have stuck with most of them for 6 months to a couple years before changing cues again. I had played with a few cheaper production cues to start...

mr. clean magic eraser - shaft cleaning

Dry I keep a dry magic eraser in my case and a piece of leather to burnish with at all times. When my shaft gets sticky or dirty I just burnish it with the leather. When it gets a little dirty looking I swipe the magic eraser a few times, and the run the leather over it to get the eraser fibers...

    Wrap Choice

I can't vote either, if you had an option for that wrap used on baseball bats or golf clubs, or hell even duck tape, I would choose one of those. Any other wrap would ruin that pretty birdseye.

    Lathe Parts Help

He actually isn't missing anything, he just wants a spare. The one he is using is a replacement from a few years back. I will be seeing him tomorrow to make sure it is an MT1 and will more than likely give him your contact number from your web site so he talk to you directly. He will know more...

    Lathe Parts Help

Thank you, I actually just received a PM from another forum member who told me the same thing and gave me a little more info. Now that I am searching "live center" on Google, I am getting a lot more info on this. Seems there are live centers available from $20 to over $1000 out there. Need to go...

    Lathe Parts Help

I don't know much about wood lathes, and don't even own one. The owner of the pool hall I play at asked me to help him find a few replacement parts for his lathe. He offers free cue cleaning and tip replacement to league members so who am I to say no. He has an old Ohio Forge 12" Pro Series...

    Rules concerns

I agree with you its messy and I truly like having lots of options on here and don't understand what the problem with it is. Of course, this isn't my site and rules are rules. However, nothing personal, but multiple sites suck! I am part of another local gun forum that just split into a second...

    Rules concerns

Mr Wilson asked if anyone had any thoughts to his 5 per year idea, and it seems like most people don't like it, but not many are offering much in the way of any suggestions. I agree it should be very easy to tell who a dealer is and who isn't, but there will be too many that claim they are not...

    Rules concerns

I have not sold more than 5 items per year on here, and I don't see me ever selling more than 5, but I think 5 is a little low. I don't think a dealer or cue flipper would be doing too good of business to sell only 1 item each month, let alone only 5 per year. Personally I would think listing 1...

    changed cue playing better?

I use to shoot with a nice Predator some time back, but after time my stroke became very lazy. No need to stroke, the shaft did all the work just by poking it. Needless to say my accuracy suffered, and I eventually went to custom cues with thick 13mm shafts. It took some time but I can get...

A treatise on modern sneaky petes...

I always wondered if a cue maker could make a good hitting 5 piece cue, w/ removable washers. Imagine walking in screwing 5 pieces of your cue together, and then saying you have to remove a couple washers for weight reduction after you break. yeah, that could get ya the 7 out...

mADE THE CHOICE TO SHOOT LEAGUE AGAIN......

Glad you enjoyed your first night back. I have almost quit league a time or two but so far stuck it out. I did quit being captain a couple years back after quite a few years of doing it and that removed a lot of my aggravation. I have also changed my thoughts about league and try not to take it...
