    By popular demand...

Wow, what a shame. I just recently bought a Varney J/B and have to say I really like it. I use to use a BK2 and the Varney breaks just as good for me. I have won 3 of the 4 break contests I have entered with it. I read how Varney has treated some people over the years, but never read anything...

    Who has the worst fundamentals?

Mike Davis was my first thought as soon as I saw the title of this thread. I watched him play a local tournament here in Raleigh one weekend and wow, can he shoot. Hes a real nice guy too, but his stroke tripped me out. It looked as if he pivots at the shoulder instead of the elbow. Again, he...

    Question for All 8-Ball Players

Me too, and hey, its an easy kick shot, what could possibly go wrong? http://CueTable.com/P/?@1AeGA1Bdfp3CcYs3DcYq2EdQA2FcIo1GcQw4HaMc4IaJf4JabH4KQGb4LbhV4MNUj4NSri4Obgs4PbNS4kbNS3kcej4kYvk4kadt4kcIv@

    Question for All 8-Ball Players

I agree with this, every layout is new and different which is what makes pool such a great game. Of course a close runner up would be hanging in the corner pocket given the correct circumstances. :D...

    Draw stroke: tip or shaft?

Stroke I use to be able to draw the cue ball effortlessly w/ my Predator cue a few years back. Then I went down the road of custom cues and couldn't draw a lick, until I found my stroke. Now I can use any cue and draw just fine. So yes, a shaft can help you, and of course tips can make a...

    What would you do here??

That was the first shot I saw, but way too risky for my taste.

    Life after APA

I had already been thinking about the GSBT. They will be close to here in mid Aug and a friend had already suggested I give it a try. I will look into the Viking tour as well. As far as instructional, I watch a lot of pool online and on TV, and have done quite a bit of reading too. I am...

    Life after APA

I appreciate the advice. There are a lot of really good A players in the area and although some play league, there are more who don't. I am ready and excited to take that next step.

    What would you do here??

I see these types of posts a lot and have always had an idea or two. On this one I see a couple of risky carom/combo shots on the 2 - 9, but if I thought I could get shape on the 3 after shooting the 2, I would try to run them out and probably hang the 9.

    Life after APA

Obviously you cannot read, if you had you would see I have contributed to this forum. I have given advice, reviews, sold a few things, and bought quite a bit. No, not as much as some, but much more than you have with your insults to everyone who has had a negative APA experience. Do you really...

    Life after APA

You did not serve this country. If you had served at all you would show more respect to others that served. You would have also ranted how your branch was better than the Marines. Just like all of your posts on this forum on how the APA is so much better than the other leagues. How about you...

    Life after APA

Are his cues really that Crappy? Have you ever seen one in person or shot with one? Are they better than the cues you make? Are you a better pool hall owner than he was? You are very judgmental for someone without a clue.

    Life after APA

Yes they do protect me, and they protect your kind as well. I proudly served in the Marines for over 9 years so I am also one of the "misguided ones" that allows the freedom for you and others to sit on the sidelines and run your mouth. Just what good have you ever done for your country? The...

    Need/wtb a Break cue

Sorry, I had to remove my BK2. I offered it to someone last week and had never heard back. He just sent me the money for it. Best of luck in your search.

    Life after APA

A lot of good comments in here. I never expected to get rich off of playing APA, nor do I expect it if I start doing just tournaments or gambling. Pool is my hobby and I love the sport so I play. I just looked at it as I can spend $15 a night to play double jeopardy on league or spend that $15...

    Stolen Cues

Ebony Mark Bear, Raleigh NC A friend of mine had his Mark Bear cue stolen around June 21, 2010 from Brass Tap and Billiards in Raleigh, NC. I am trying to get pics of it from the previous owner, but wanted to at least get the description out. It is a Mark Bear plain Jane ebony, w/ an off white...
