5 Tables for a Big Tourney?

Yeah, but if I said it I'd be "sexist" :) Old people play slow too... So, what does that mean for how long old women take to play? :)

5 Tables for a Big Tourney?

Then I say you're looking at around 12+ hours for the first round alone!

    APA wins Guinness World Record

Also of note, that is the number of players, not number of times they play... You only play 5 people per week, so, some don't pay every week. But, there are also players who play multiple times a week (I know some that play on 4 or 5 APA teams a week!). Brian

    g-core and i-2 shafts

I have a G-Core and love it! The line of current McD cues that come with either the G-Core or I-shafts standard are very good quality. The line that has the standard shafts, but are still USA made ones are good quality. All the I's are slightly different, in more ways than just the tip. Brian

5 Tables for a Big Tourney?

Bring a bunch of books to read, you'll need them! Let's do some math here... 90 players. First round would be 45 matches (I'm not going by actual tournament charts, but you get the drift) 5 tables, so, 45 matches would need 9 matches played on each table Say, 45 minutes per match (with getting...

    APA wins Guinness World Record

Sweet! I was part of the "World's Largest Pool Tournament"... I should make a sign and post it under the patch from it that I have hanging from a cork board in my game room :)

    Perfect pool tournament story

Why must people turn this thread into an arguement about aiming/science/etc? It's a cool story about someone playing people he taught in a tournament. Take out all the use of "Perfect Aim" and it's still just as decent of a story about a teacher seeing his students succeeding. I have no dog in...

Good place to hole up and play for 3 days solid

I'd drive the 2 extra hours and hit Minneapolis. Lot's a great pool halls here to play in! If I had my choice, I'd fly to Charlotte, NC and play there! If you are interested in either, let me know as I can recommend many places and hook you up with folks in both places. Brian

    Fake OB-2 shaft?

There is also the question of if both shafts were sold from OB with the joint, or if one was sold as a partial and the joint/ringwork was done by someone else. As for the wood color, different batches of wood will have different colors. Also, it could be the length difference is due to changes...

Nothing like playing some on Katie's pink! Looks like Glen did quite the job properly stretching that pink when he laid it! And, I would definitely have take Katie up on her offer! :)
