    Custom Ordered Capone 4 Pt

I've seen all three of these cues, and they are all beauties. Just a lil' bump for ya there, buddy.

Billiards is Food for the Soul

Unfortunately, after being there for as long as I can remember, Steve H. hasn't been at Raytown Rec for several years. He hasn't been playing a lot lately, but I did run into him a couple months ago, and he still plays great. I've heard some great stories from Steve about action in the old days...

    Pool Table Lighting

Thanks, Jay. No problem with the drooling. I still drool every time I take the cover off the thing (at least that's my excuse for the increased drooling that seems to come with increased age);) FYI - I'm only about 40 minutes from Shooter's in Olathe. Steve

    Pool Table Lighting

I built my light for about $250. Stained poplar, pinstriping, two tandem 8-foot fixtures (8 4-foot bulbs), and el cheapo grids from Lowe's. I'd like to get some of the deeper silver parabolic grids that are used in the Diamond lights.

    Here's what I'm up against

I feel your pain WBM, I've endured the same against our local pro here in the Show-Me state (also with an embarassingly unmentionable handicap). All I can do is shake my head, grin, and remind myself how fortunate I am to watch, play, and learn from someone of this caliber on a regular basis...

    Gold Crown Questions

Amen to that, Jay. I've got new Artemis rubber on my Anny, and it rocks.

    Gold Crown Questions

I have to second the "don't get rid of the Anniversary" thinking. I almost think that if anyone was abusive enough to mine to cause me pain, I'd get rid of them and keep the Anny.

    Finally finished

Very nice. Reminds me of my light. I assume you made it yourself? Nice job.

Did anyone else notice how fast Johnny stuck that wad in his pocket after Deno handed it to him?

Danny Harriman Just ran 280 Balls!

Danny told me that someone at DCC was going to help him edit it and add commentary, then I believe he will make it available.

Danny Harriman Just ran 280 Balls!

Way to go Danny. That's an awesome run. And let me add that in our straight pool league, Danny never hesitates to share his world-class knowledge of this game with anyone that asks. It's a privilege to play with him on a regular basis. And I still haven't run 50.:o

    Ball Polisher Question....

I got one a couple months ago. So far, it's great. It takes a little getting used to getting the liquid in properly, and you have to watch the internal flap sometimes to make sure it reverses properly on the polish cycle. But overall, it does a great job. I got mine for $370 shipped.

Thanks. I made the light myself.

    Found a real nice Anniversary!

Brunswick made the Anniversary starting in 1945, and I believe they were made until sometime in the 60's. I'm not aware of any "customs," but that doesn't mean it wasn't done. I have a Model C-1, which has no counters. You can find the model number at the top of the pedestals. I think you're...

passed the bar and sworn in!!! and a new masse clip :D

Congratulations Eric! Welcome to the dark side.;) When you get settled into practice (law, that is), please let me know where you're at. I need good local representation in TN from time to time. Steve

    9' Brunswick Anniversary Dimensions

Outer measurement is 63 x 113 inches. I'd make it a tad bigger than that, though. The "top" part of my cover is about 65 x 114, and it fits pretty well, even though it's not custom. Just make sure to account for the rounded corners if you want it to fit really nicely. You are sure going to...

    Need suggestions for table light

JoeW, Thanks for the compliment on the table and the light. I made the light myself. It has two tandem 8 foot fixtures in it -- a total of 8 four-foot bulbs. I don't remember the wattage, but it provides plenty of light. I have it hung really high, because the frame of the light is 4 X 8 feet...
