I am looking at buying a Ballstar Ball Polisher. They are not exactly cheap, for home use anyway.

I am looking for info / review on this unit, good or bad. Best price??

I got one a couple months ago. So far, it's great. It takes a little getting used to getting the liquid in properly, and you have to watch the internal flap sometimes to make sure it reverses properly on the polish cycle. But overall, it does a great job. I got mine for $370 shipped.

Thanks for the info. I am going to order one.

SJB - Where did you find yours for $370 shipped?? PM sent!!

The best price I have so far is approx. $480.00 shipped!!

I've done some research on this particular ball cleaner and while it only holds 8 balls, it rates very high with pool room owners.

This is the cheapest price I have found so far.
$419.00

There is a homemade polisher in a previous thread if you want something inexpensive that works great. Just a plastic bucket lined with a piece of carpeting and a car buffer turned upside down in the bottom.

Cheaper still is my "system."

Line the bottom of a shoe box or something similar with several layers of paper towel. (Aramith cleaner recommends paper towel to polish by hand).

Apply the Aramith cleaner to eight balls with a micro fiber cloth as recommended..rubbing it off to a thin film...which takes about 15 seconds per ball.

Put a wool or synthetic buffing disc on your drill motor and just sweep it over the balls for about 30 seconds...Repeat with the other 8 balls and you're done.

Takes just a few minutes which I spend in front of the TV. Does an excellent job. MAYBE not QUITE as excellent as the pro machines but tell ya what. The degree of polish will make a REAL difference in ball behavior and the AVERAGE degree of polish that you get in a pool hall is nowhere NEAR perfect unless you happen to get a set of just-polished balls.

SO, I went my way because I don't WANT perfectly polished balls all the time because that's not what I'm going to get when I play in halls.

I do mine about every 10 days or so.

Just my $0.02

Regards,
Jim

Try Thompson Sporting goods, they seem to be the cheapest.

They are the cheapest on the Polisher, but they want $75 for shipping. Most sellers are around $40 for shipping.
