    Paul Dayton- Never Forgotten

Wow. You remembered my cue? Very cool. That purpleheart version is a beauty. And bonus A joint ring. And it does pair well with the other cue. Nice set! Thanks for showing off!

JOSS - Nick Varner “An STL Cue Show Score

Nice! I dig that "yard sale" concept. I wish our pool hall would do that. I'll plant the idea.

    Buying Unknown Cues- An Example

I think it's important to have a good attitude about such things. I do still have trouble with the ones that got away though. LOL!

    Buying Unknown Cues- An Example

I figured I can enjoy it, or sell it to someone that needs a cue, or give it away to someone that needs a cue. Once I verify the cue is OK and good to go, that alone strengthens the value. I might do a social experiment with it at the pool hall.

    Strange Brunswick cue?

Common construction of a bunch of low end Chinese cues. The joint is seen in a number of them. The reason people think it's novel is because they don't look at the other cues, they don't grab attention. The Brunswick name grabbed the attention.

    Buying Unknown Cues- An Example

What would it be worth if a maker like Newsheriff or Baxter made it? They do better work than this but one can imagine. We wouldn't see that grain tearing in one of their cues. The finish isn't the best either but it looks adequate at a glance. I looks like a hobbyist cue to me. But I...

    Buying Unknown Cues- An Example

And of course, no idea if it is cored. I kind of doubt it. If it is, that's a big bonus I think.

    Buying Unknown Cues- An Example

Unknown or unidentified or unmarked cues can be a matter of controversy when posting and asking about them. If you think it's stupid or it pisses you off, you might find a more interesting thread to post in elsewhere. Up to you. Have you ever "taken a chance" on a cue? I mean, without asking...

No idea. It does look like it was branded on with a wood burner.

Sales tax on a custom cue?

I run a home business with a home office. Everything is proper, although I don't have those kinds of risks. The business pays me rent for the space in my house, I have a proper business license, and the business is insured. If I could I would run the entire thing "off the books" and be...

Sales tax on a custom cue?

With electronic payments, it becomes impossible to keep the books out of the sight of authorities. Maybe they will not charge sales tax if you pay cash. Of course, you lose some protections of you pay cash. There are pros and cons to everything. The way I see it, if they are charging sales...

Help with thoughts on the cue maker of an unknown Jump / Break pool cue?

I don't know but the ring above the butt cap resembles Gold Rush.

    Ebony and Maple, No Veneers

I'm pretty sure I have 3 M-15 cues. I have a couple T (Trophy series) but I don't think I have a T-15. They had colored veneers and the thicker dashed joint rings. Still reassembling my files.

    Anyone have any info?

That's why I said it does not look like it. They do use just a P on their shafts, but again it's different.

    Anyone have any info?

The rings are common on Asian cues of the Lucasi variety et al. P for Peri cues? But it does not look like their logo. As was said it looks like a sticker.

I just realized I have at least 3 versions of the M-15. I'll get pictures soon-ish.
