    Pool fads?

If you watch 3 Cushion, the dress code is still in effect. I tried to get some of my local amateur tournaments to implement a dress code when streaming. Saturday, day 1 would be normal; collar shirts, shorts. Sunday, day 2, aka money round, should be a dress code for the stream.

    Pool Cue at Airports

I think TSA is security theater, and not real security.

    Pool Cue at Airports

You realize this is the exception, not the norm as cues are still not allowed as carry-on. If no one stopped or questioned him, it means all the layers of security failed.

    Air Travel With Cues.

For traveling with cues, I asked what the pros were using, then for my Vegas trip I bought the same hard case. They travel more than me, so I figured they would have it down, just like their break shots. I pack my cues in the suitcase or rolling duffle bag. For peace of mind, a cheap $30...

Is this really Matchroom's regular price?

The viewership has shrunk to the point of diehards, and maybe turning some off. This is why pool is no longer on cable tv, and only available on streaming level. For those complaining why cornhole is on tv, its because there are more viewers than pool. By charging for content at this stage...

    Shot Clock Question

Shot clock starts when all the balls stop moving. Now, this doesn't prevent a player from coming up to the table and start shooting. As for calling time, say last 10 seconds. I was told to call it out irregardless if a player is down on their shot or not. On a scratch, shot clock starts as...

Will 4 inches pockets be the future of US pool, bar box and big table?

In many pool halls that I've been, there is always a pit table or two. These have tighter pockets. Unless there is a money match, or every table being used, I've noticed there is less demand than regular tables.

    8-ball stats to track?

In APA 8-ball scoresheet, they track innings, time-outs, 8-ball made on the break, 8-ball break and run, defensive shots, and match points.

    Perimeter Billiard Light

You have three years support and warranty on the Arena lights. I'm surprised they couldn't resolve the issue to your satisfaction.

Rack experts, what are they doing?

To address these complaints, last year's Matchroom US Open had neutral rackers on every table. Scorekeepers, had no referee duties, just scorekeep and rack the balls. As more money grows in these tournaments, I think neutral rackers more common place.

Playing with 20 year old balls versus newer balls

I would try inexpensive solutions first, such as Aramith Ball cleaner and Aramith Ball restorer.

    Steinway Billiards Closing

Update I stopped at Steinway. The plans put out by the developers isn't yet approved. I was wrong thinking this was a done deal. Steinway is planning to have the Ginky Memorial. They're still working on the details. I offered to help that tournament. If you want to call Steinway, call to...

Stolen Cues & Case Alert! (Phoenix AZ)

I'm sorry to hear this news. I'm going to post the same advice that I gave to a friend. It won't help you in this theft, but may help prevent a future loss. If you have cues that are meaningful or high end, consider putting a tracker such as Tile or Apple Air Tag in your cue case. They're...
