Chalk test, pictures and thoughts on different chalks.

Weather, as in temperature and humidity definitely have an effect on chalk just like they do in everything in pool. Maybe not a huge difference but still there is some, others seem more prone to moisture than others. ^ Skratch That'd be a nice idea to have a chalk made but I'm afraid my chalk...

Chalk test, pictures and thoughts on different chalks.

I have accumulated a small collection of different chalks over time and today I finally got around to testing them all to compare them. I took a few pictures for your curiousitys sake and to keep tabs how I liked wich chalk. Here is what I came up with after trying more than a dozen of different...

Could This Debacle Kill the Mosconi Cup

    * a part of the European Union. Still a part of the continent though. Would make an interesting match though :) I cant understand how the crowd can behave as classless like this. Bloody shouting and howling like retarded coyotes all the time  How can it be so hard for pool to be played...

    2016 UK Championship

^ Agreed... Ronnies game looked so difficult and uncomfortable yesterday, he seemed to be so out of his game whenever he got back at the table. After a few pots his gear came back and off he went again playing like he does. He cant afford that against Selby though I imagine. He has to be 100%...

    Aluminium 5/16-18 Joint Pin Questions

+1. As a machinist I strongly advise against the idea of having a 5/16 aluminium pin. It will not last for long, the threads will wear fast and the pin will bend if any sideway force is applied. Titanium pin would work and is a bit lighter but the weight difference is minimal in such a small...

Have you played with an Eclat cue, or any opinions about them based on pictures?

May I ask why are you constantly changing cues and always looking for the next best thing  I am not trying to be mean that was just a friendly notice. As you have had the opportunity to play with a ton of different cues I assume you have formed some sort of preference on what you...

What are my options of shafts that will fit that Pechauer speed joint?

If you like a long pro taper on your shaft I'd suggest trying out a Jacoby Edge hybrid shaft in 12.75mm. It has a really long pro taper nearly 18" long and they play well. I have two for my Barnhart that I play with, maim one that is worn down to 12.5 and a new one at 12.75 as a spare...

    the new mooris "hits"

Np :) After a while all of the new mooris firm up a little from install. Ruby is very stiff tip to play with and requires a little bit of care to keep it scuffed. Still my personal favourite of them. Feel is similiar to G2 hard or Kamui black medium. I prefer the Ruby over both though, it has a...

    Triangle pro chalk.

Tweeten fibre has released their new premium chalk, Triangle Pro. Comes in green only (sadly), I dont know if they are planning on making a blue version of it. I ordered a few cubes to try out and I must say that it is a good chalk. It is a bit softer feeling than Magic chalk or masters but...

Europe / Brexit / Mosconi Cup?

I dont think its going to cause anything too dramatic for Mosconi cup. Maybe at some point they will no longer be a part of the European Union but they are forever stuck in the same continent and hopefully that is enough to keep things going as they are now  Will see

Switching to a low deflection shaft, pros and cons?

If you have been satisfied with Predator for the past 16 years why change? I'd go with a 314'3 if I were you. My fiancee plays with one and we both like how it plays
