    Preserving the angle

Comes up pretty often when you need a little less/more cut when there's an obstruction between the cue-object ball. Outside cuts more, inside cuts less. Be aware of the deflection so you don't hit the obstruction. Disclaimer, I'm not a better player, but I found this is very handy to use.

Support the BEF and help spend Dr. Dave's money

Hey Dave, I'm thinking about donating some QMD units (www.cue-md.com) as prizes for top finishers. Who can I contact to get some details about how to go about doing this? Thanks, Steve

New appliance for muscle training in pool and other cue sports

Found another video... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBchlbAYaKk&feature=youtu.be Seems you could build some power into your stroke and train some muscle memory. How about sticking a buck in the machine for a 5 minute workout, bet it would get some use at the pool hall.

    Byob

A few guys in a league I play in bring their own balls to the poolhall and assume it's fine that they're used in their matches. It bugs me, but I go along mostly because nobody else seems to mind. Would I be a jerk to complain? Would you complain? The house ball are generally pretty clean...

    Age old question

You can try QMD (www.cue-md.com). It'll automatically record and save the shots of your training sessions. You can go back and compare your current recordings with new ones to pinpoint any changes. You'll catch subtle things you may not see from a video and it also gives you instant feedback...

    Even sharp points question

What do you use your cues for? Gardening? I've been using the same player for years without a scratch/ding and I'm not a particularly careful person.

    Seyberts

I suspect AZB gets a percent from Seyberts of any sales from the Marketplace, so you're supporting AZB by buying from the link. Please correct me if anyone knows otherwise.

Do you have a Photographic memory

I tend to block out my misses but remember my makes. Unfortunately I takes shots I have no business trying because I made it once and don't remember the twenty misses.

    Dropping your elbow

If you're interested if you're 'accelerating' through the cue ball, the software for the QMD training device (www.cue-md.com) shows you the relative velocity of your cue during your stroke, see the notes for the velocity chart on the bottom of the screen shot. Steve

Interested in testing a new training aid?

Not sure, but if you can get to GooglePlay with your Kindle and it lets you install the QMD software you're halfway there. If you can't and want to try installing with the QMD APK let me know and I'll get it for you. Also, your Kindle will need to have Bluetooth, not all models do Steve
