Old school traditional stainless jointed Davis-Prince cues

All three are very impressive looking and I'm sure hitting old school cues. My favorite is the top one. Those veneers are just classic old school and one of my favorite combinations. Thanks for sharing these beauties! Good shooting to you! Kevin

    My new JB case!

Sweet case! JB makes some great, well put together stuff. I really like the rich color variations in the leather next to the croc skin. I agree that would look pretty darn nice as a wrap if it feels as good as it looks! Good shooting to you, Kevin

How long before you switch cues?

My take..sorry so long... Ted..nice post...I absolutely agree and like your take on things. Collector's guilt/buyers remorse especially over cues you really wanted or wanted to make a player can be a mo-fo to get over. I'll try your advice :) To the OP... Nothing wrong with rewarding...

How Would You Play This End Pattern?

I think I'd go 9 in the side with a light spin off the near rail for the 13 in the corner which will allow a bump of the 15 over for a break shot then 4 in the side following with the cue two rails and over for the 10 in the corner then back off the side rail lightly for the two in the bottom...

2013 AZ Billiards Straight Pool Challenge!

So far this year my high run is a 28 I pulled off while practicing on table 1 at Sandcastle yesterday. My run ended because I left myself a really long shot with a 2 rail half table draw to open the rack. I missed the shot rattling the break ball in the pocket but I did knock out a few balls...

Are Valley tables worth the shaft abuse?

Really? I've used my cue on valley tables and received scrape-like dings on my shafts just using a rail bridge with minimal to no downward pressure on the shaft on the non-metal portions of the table. I do have to say the tables that created the damage were mixed from well maintained to bar room...

Are Valley tables worth the shaft abuse?

Oh man...I feel your pain. Too many dings to count. When I used to play on valleys my shafts got beat up with rough patches, dents and occasionally gouges. I got sick of pulling dents from my shaft and after watching a friend who only had one arm, play using a little bean bag on the rail as his...

    Some of my toys

Great cues! My favorite is the southwest with ebony Points, what looks like possibly goncalo alves and green veneers. I think that's my favorite southwest cue right there. I like this Even more than a bocote with ebony points and blue veneers that Was my previous favorite. Good shooting to...

Are all linen wraps the same?

Just want to add this as I also only like to play with cues with certain preps on linen wraps but don't know what created that feel. Is it the chemicals used? Delrin pressing, wood pressing, double pressing with either? I know there are a lot of methods used but only a few preps that I enjoy...

    Chinese 8 Ball

pocket patch needed! I was just looking around online and found an older TV 8 ball match between Efren and Mark Jarvis where the referee placed an object on the pocket once the pocket was called to confirm what was called by the shooter. Looked to work better for preventing confusion on...
