For me, the short answer is the more recognizable players are going to play with their sponsor's cue/shafts and that just isn't going to be wood or traditional for the most part as production makers are making traditional cues less and less. Traditional makers like Schon, Joss, and the like...

It may very well be more expensive but I'm hoping to keep it around $1200 or so. I'm a sucker for highly figured wood so that could definitely affect price. This is a maker near Houston. Once we nail down a price and timeline, I'll say who it is.

Like a lot of production makers, you can probably contact Joss and have them change out woods, stains, etc. on production cues to meet what you want. Hell, McDermott will do it. I don't remember for sure, but I bet Joss would be willing to make you a 1/1 cue if you asked/paid for it.

The part that's not right is that a family making around $8000-10,000 a year could afford a house in the 1970s. Now, $25/hr is almost not enough to rent a nicer apartment in larger cities. At a minimum, the U.S. as a country need to make it so that when a company holds a house for more than...

It's more like particulars of a cue won't matter to someone that knows what they are doing with it. Someone could hand SVB a house cue with a dogleg warp and I bet he would still beat almost everyone that posts here once he got a practice rack in. Now, to rile up the folks that wanted a lesson...

I'd say a good saddle soap and Honey leather conditioner. I've used this combination for years albeit not on table pockets. I've used it on saddles, belts, boots and briefcases with excellent results.
