You appear to have been terribly confused when you wrote this. You first acknowledge that my opinion may be correct, only pointing out that it is not backed by "statistical fact." Three sentences later (and with no citations of "statistical fact" to support you), you dismiss the same opinion...

The same could be said about any cue, from any maker. There are plenty of threads on here where people talk about high-end cues from respected cuemakers that just don't hit well. Most people who use a Lucasi seem very happy. (And no, I don't have a dog in this fight... I've never owned a Lucasi).

IMHO, Not such a small thing at all... I totally agree with Bob on this. After the first screw-up, the cuemaker should have taken extra pains to get the second order right. He agreed to do the work according to your specifications. There's no reason to settle for anything less.

Was there ever really an IPT deal??? Corey, you make some good points, and what follows is in no way intended to be antagonistic to you. I think it should be said, however, that the only evidence that we have of a potential IPT/Ho deal are the less-than-reliable representations of Kevin...

Assuming that minimal standards of quality have been met (sound construction, decent shaft taper and material, quality tip, etc.), not too much at all. Both your Lucasi and the 'bushka certainly meet these standards. That said, you may certainly develop certain preferences with respect to tip...

Does anyone know the backstory here?? I'm curious... does anyone know how this matchup came about? Or why they were playing for such high stakes? While it is great to see two strong players do battle like this, it is really rare these days to see people betting that high.
