    score predictions for different games

have a regular session with a pal we mix it up and play different games if we're playing to 10, I might win 10-2 playing eight-ball, 10-3 playing nine-ball but when we play one-hole, he might get 1 game out of 25, maybe these scores check out to y'all? the 1p seems overly-lopsided, but not sure

when getting a lesson, is it better to warm up solo first, or come in cold?

I could see warming up before a lesson potentially being helpful or a hindrance to the instructor instructing- thoughts?

"pool parlor" by jacob lawrence (1942)

Lawrence is renowned for his visual interpretations of Black life and history, which he often explored in series. This painting evokes a scene along Lenox Avenue, a central street in Harlem known at the time for its many pool parlors. The composition reveals a dimly lit room filled with...

    about stroke/follow-through- keeping it straight?

in this vid, I see the player does a thing I do sometimes, something I'm curious about the result is that the cue butt ends up moving horizontally (after contacting the cb?) the player is putting english on the ball when it happens, is that why? elbow drop? my questions are: what's happening...

    about stroke/follow through

"following through" seems to be a hallmark of having a good stroke..is it? wondering if there are exceptions. when I shoot a stun run-through shot, for example, my instinct is kind of "pop" the cb more the cb and ob are often close together in this instance, tho..that might have something to do...

stance- good places to point feet?

from playing other sports, I learned the value/importance of having good footwork this seems to apply to pool as well, tho I'm curious to what extent and I'm wondering what the benefits/consequences are of pointing feet in certain directions a little while ago, I started positioning my back...

    why we miss- ?

I guess there sure could be many reasons why we fail to pocket balls and/or get position and likely it depends on who's shooting, etc..but I'm wondering if instructors could/do boil those reasons down? if so, what's the list?

    about this shot

shooting the 1, trying to get shape on the 6- there are different ways to hit it, but I'm curious about one in particular hit well, putting low and inside/right english on the cb leaves it nicely behind the 6 for a shot in the same pocket as the 1 intellectually, I know this because I've done...
